PRESS RELEASE | 02 JUNE 2015 International Launch of Weng Contemporary: The new online gallery for original prints and fine art editions by world-class contemporary artists London, United Kingdom / Zug, Switzerland – 2 June 2015 – On Thursday 28 May, Weng Contemporary launched its new website, wengcontemporary.com, which offers the broadest selection of top quality original prints and fine art editions by some of the most sought-after contemporary artists. Since the launch at 9.30PM GMT on 28 May, more than 2k visitors have browsed wengcontemporary.com. Early buyers are taking advantage of the introductory prices available on the website, with a high number of transactions going through. Peter Doig proved especially popular, with the highest total of works sold thus far. New works such as Vivien in Black Hat by Alex Katz (20k USD), and Angel’s Wing by Robert Longo (15k USD), have been added to the online gallery since the official launch. The website will continue to be updated regularly, with new works added every week, and prices adjusting to demand in real time. To celebrate the launch, Weng Contemporary is staging an exhibition of highlights, including works by headline names such as Chuck Close, Peter Doig, Damien Hirst, Alex Katz, Jeff Koons, Robert Longo, Richard Prince and Gerhard Richter.
