25. RESOLUTION TO BE PASSED - SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Approval is sought to submit the following report to the meeting of the Riccarton/Wigram Community Board on 18 August 2015:

● Proposed Road Names - Seymour Street Extension

The reason, in terms of section 46(vii) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, why the reports were not included on the main agenda is that they were not available at the time the agenda was prepared.

It is appropriate that the Community Board receive the reports at the current meeting.

RECOMMENDATION

That the report be received and considered at the meeting of the Riccarton/Wigram Community Board on 18 August 2015.

26. PROPOSED ROAD NAMES: SEYMOUR STREET EXTENSION

Reference: 15/937939 Contact: Bob Pritchard [email protected] 941-8644

1. Purpose and Origin of Report Purpose of Report 1.1. The purpose of this report is for Riccarton/Wigram Community Board to approve the proposed road names.

Origin of Report 1.2. This report is staff generated resulting from naming requests from subdivision developers. 1.3. A report went to the Board in March 2015 where the road name "Seymour Street" was not accepted.

2. Significance 2.1. The decision(s) in this report is of low significance in relation to the Christchurch City Council’s Significance and Engagement Policy. 2.1.1. The level of significance was determined by the number of people affected and/or with an interest as well as the size of the new road/right of way. 2.1.2. Due to the low assessment of significance, no further community engagement and consultation is required.

3. Staff Recommendations That the Riccarton/Wigram Community Board: 3.1. Approves the Road Name: "Seymour Street Extension".

4. Seymour Street Extension 4.1. This is a leasehold subdivision creating three warehouse sites to be served by an extension of the existing Seymour Street running from Shands Road to Junction Road. 4.2. There is also a right of way on the south eastern side of the warehouses, which was going to be named until it was realised that it only served three units and does not qualify to be named. 4.3. There is no formal cost to the Council. The administration fee for road naming is included as part of the subdivision consent application fee and the cost of the name plate manufacture is charged directly to the developer.
