HOCKEY TASMANIA ANNUAL REPORT 2014 ANNUAL REPORT 2014 1 For the first time in Tasmanian hockey history the Tassie Tigers won the Australian Hockey League title. The Tigers finished top of their pool winning through to the medal pool, finishing second which gave them the right to play Western Australia in the final. The final was very much an exciting game with the Tigers down by two goals early on, but clawed their way back into the game having complete control in the last quarter where they levelled the game and were unlucky not to win during normal time. The Tigers then had to go through a series of shootouts. After the first round it was still even and the Tigers eventually won their very first nation title after going through a series of sudden death shootouts.
