Fulton Walker Fulton Walker is a 1977 graduate of Martinsburg High School. Fulton played four sports while at MHS. He ran track, played basketball, baseball (where he was named All-State first Team) and football where he also received First Team All- State and All State Honorable Mention. He played on the undefeated 1976 football team which was under the direction of Coach Bob Kamensky. After graduating from MHS Fulton was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates but chose to take an academic athletic scholarship and take his talents to West Virginia University. While at WVU he played football for four years and baseball for two years. He was a member of the All East Team as a center fielder. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from WVU and his Master’s in Safety Management and Special Equation as well. Fulton was drafted in 1981 in the sixth round by the . He played for Miami from 1981-1985 and the Los Angeles Raiders from 1985-1986. He was the first player ever to return a kick off in a . It happened during Super bowl XVII. He remains in the NFL top 100 in career return yards; career punt return average and career kick return yards. After his NFL career, he returned to the Martinsburg area where he worked as an educator and coached football at Martinsburg High School for many years. He is retired and working his farm here in the Eastern Panhandle and is the proud father of two sons, Kevin and Jerome.
