Indeed, this contribution aims determining rapid changes in land cover and land use and modeling of soil erosion in the study area where we have little data and that soil losses are mainly water. Analysis of satellite data has identified six main types of land (Land severely degraded, cereal, mix cereal and tree crops, trees, and reforestation) in the watershed of Oued El Mellah north the city of Fez (Morocco). The loss of soil have been estimated by the RUSLE module integrated into the GIS Idrisi. The results allow the identification of sectors across the basin where interventions are needed to limit the process of land degradation. Keywords: Erosion, GIS, Idrisi, Oued El Mellah, Fez Morocco 1. Introduction Soil erosion is a growing problem in the north of Morocco, particularly in the Pre-Rif domain.

Dogs are the major reservoir of Leishmania infantum, the causative agent of human and canine visceral leishmaniasis in the Mediterranean basin. In Morocco, canine leishmaniasis (CanL) is usually believed to be widespread mainly, if not only, in the northern regions and few data are available about the situation in southern parts of the country. Here, we report the results of a preliminary, clinical, and serological study carried out in 2004–2007, in four provinces of southern Morocco.

  • Summary of the Report on Public Institutions and Businesses (EEP) Accompanying the Finance Bill 2018
DESI / DPC/ SAS Summary of the report on Public Institutions and Businesses (EEP) accompanying the Finance Bill 2018 The reform of the public sector in its generality (administrations, local authorities and public and private institutions) and its governance and management model, as well as the promotion of investment which is the source of growth and of improvement of the life conditions of the citizens in all the regions of the Kingdom, constitute fundamental priorities of the public policy. Thus, the government program for the 2016-2021 period concerns, in particular, developing the economic model, promoting employment and strengthening sustainable development to benefit humanity and the social and spatial cohesion, while focusing on strengthening the international influence of Morocco in the service of its fair causes. These all are big projects in which the public and private businesses (EEP) are of key importance. I - Public portfolio composition and performances The role of the EEP sector is called to become stronger in 2018, in line with the strategic development guidelines aimed at implementing reforms that foster the business climate, accelerating the national economy transformation and promoting sustainable growth. This ambition is corroborated both by consolidating the consistency of the public portfolio and by improving the sustained operational and financial performance of its components. 1.1- Overview of the public portfolio The composition of the public portfolio is as follows: 210 public institutions1 operating in key areas of the national economy, namely, agriculture, health, education, urban planning and development, infrastructure, energy, tourism and the financial sector. During 2016, the portfolio witnessed the creation of the "Drâa Oued Noun Watershed Agency", the "Millennium Challenge Account Morocco" Agency and the "National Agency for Urban Upgrading and Rehabilitation of Houses threatening Collapse".

KINGDOM OF MOROCCO Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water Resources Water Department PROJECT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES IN THE SEBOU BASIN (PGDRES) –SIDI ABBOU DAM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY OF THE FRAMEWORK PLAN FOR LAND ACQUISITION AND COMPENSATION OF PROJECT-AFFECTED PERSONS (PCATI-PAP) June 2019 SUMMARY OF THE FRAMEWORK PLAN FOR LAND ACQUISITION AND COMPENSATION OF PROJECT-AFFECTED PERSONS (PCATI-PAP) 1 Project name : Project for the Sustainable Management of Water Resources in the Sebou Basin (PGDRES) – Sidi Abbou Dam Country : Kingdom of Morocco 1. INTRODUCTION At the request of Moroccan authorities, the African Development Bank Group will support the implementation of the Project for Sustainable Water Resources Management in the Sebou Basin (PGDRES) - Sidi Abbou Dam in Morocco. From an environmental and social standpoint, the project is classified under Category 1 as its implementation will result in the physical and economic displacement of more than 200 people as well as the flooding of approximately 590 ha of agricultural land, displacement of 72 households and loss of livelihoods for 930 inhabitants, about 30% of whom are women. Hence, the project was subjected to an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) accompanied by a framework plan for land acquisition and compensation of project-affected persons (PCATI-PAP). The PCATI-PAP was submitted at this stage because the right-of-way required for the construction of the dam proper is known, but the one required for the dam easements, associated infrastructure and/or facilities and access roads is not yet known because the attendant engineering studies will be conducted only subsequently (in at least 9 months).

E-mail: [email protected] ; Tel: (+212.661153385) Abstract The world is facing many environmental problems. Pollution, ecosystem and habitat degradation, biodiversity loss (sixth great extinction) are all problems that it is urgent to solve. Some of them, due to their speed and extension, can lead to irreversible damages to the environment. It is in this context that are placed impact assessments on the environment that serve as a backdrop to the analysis of environmental issues. Trends in the environmental impact assessment consist of (1) a strong penetration of the concepts and tools from the theory of information and information technology. Modeling and geographic information system increase the scope, validity and predictive power of impact studies (2) an interpretation of the dynamics of environmental phenomena that highlights the natural potential of lands, the causes of their fragility, their degradation level, and the dynamic processes that are exerted on the lands. Taking into account this dynamics allows the assessment of cumulative effects which is in turn the basis for the pursuit of sustainable development (3) an increasing participation of concerned populations. According to this international movement, the Moroccan mountain, which is densely populated, heavily exploited but extremely marginalized, should be better valued and benefit from a significant boost.

  • His Majesty the King Mohammed Vi, May God Assist Him
HIS MAJESTY THE KING MOHAMMED VI, MAY GOD ASSIST HIM Annual Report of the Public Finance Court For the year 2015 Highlights Majesty, For the year 2015, public finance indicators continued the positive trend that started in 2013, due to the improvement of the macro-economic stability of our country. This recovery is driven by several factors, chief of which is the decline in the prices of energy products and the importance of foreign investments and foreign donations. Hence, the budget deficit, again, recorded a decline to settle at 4,4% of GDP as against 4,9% in 2014; 5,1% in 2013 and 7,2% in 2012. This improvement, ascribable to the stability of regular income, in spite of the decline of foreign donations (- 71,7%), benefitted from the rise of tax revenues of 3,8% and the fall of regular expenditure by 3,5%, following the drop in compensation costs by 57,2%. Notwithstanding the improvement of these indicators, the public finance position encountered many difficulties, particularly the high level of Treasury debt whose outstanding amount reached 629,2 billion MAD, or 64,1% of GDP, as against 63,5% in 2014, knowing that the total national debt, including State-guaranteed debt, increased by more than two (2) points of GDP to stand at nearly 81% of GDP. In the same vein, in terms of Treasury payments, a tendency towards the accumulation of arrears was noted. Indeed, VAT debts due to public-owned corporations and companies, excluding the private sector, reached nearly 25.18 billion MAD at the end of 2015, as against 8,7 billion MAD in 2010, which accounts for 48% of VAT revenues reverted to State budget.

Abstract In Morocco, as in most countries around the Mediterranean, leishmaniasis is an important public health problem. The situation has become worrying since the 1970’s and continues to be more complicated. The objective of this work was to realize a historical overview of the classification, evolution, and dispersion of Leishmania parasites and Sandflies in Morocco. The status of the different leishmaniasis could be illustrated in three epidemiological entities: zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) due to L. major transmitted by P. (Phlebotomus) papatasi, Anthroponotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ACL) due to L. tropica transmitted by P.
