Log Horizon Subclasses List

Note: Most of the descriptions come from the documents below! Some of them might be really off the mark since I actually don’t speak a word of Japanese and have to rely on either other translators or multiple machine translations.

Any subclass in purple has questionable authenticity (I can’t find any reference for them in official or Japanese fan-made lists). The subclasses in red are fan-made ones from the Japanese lists; Mamare said that they’re allowed/there’s so many subclasses that he couldn’t possibly come up with all of them (I need to go through them, so maybe around half the below list is fan-made?).

Since I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, if there’s a subclass you want more information about, mention it in a comment. There’s a good chance that there’s no info beyond what I’ve already translated, though.

Production Subclasses (): Role-Playing Subclasses (): Lander-only Subclasses: Special Titles (): Subclass-Specific Equipment/Items:

------

Production Subclasses (): *Note: Everyone has at least 5 EXP in each Production subclass, regardless of what subclass they have. That’s why Adventurers can add salt or sugar to food without it turning into mush.

(Alchemist) - Create potions and other consumable magic items. Among other things, you can create fire bombs, an explosive potion. They are also capable of creating low-level healing potions. -Magus has this subclass. (Artisan) - Enables players to work with precious metals and gems. They are able to create intricate jewelry and other decorative items. After the Catastrophe, these skills can be applied toward creating devices and objects that Edit with the Docs app did not previously exist. (Blacksmith)Make tweaks, - Can leave create comments, and repair and share equipment. with others to edit at the same time. -Michitaka and Pianississimo have this subclass. (Brewer) - Brew alcoholic drinks. If a Brewer creates it manually using Real Food Preparation, the drinks have flavor and take less time to create than in the real world. NO THANKS GET THE APP -Nurukan has this subclass (Chef) - Can create food items. After the Catastrophe, they can create “real” food that has flavor and taste, an Overskill called “Real Food Preparation”. The higher your level, the more complex recipes you can make. -Nyanta, Kanami, Mikakage, Federico, Bolognese, Kushi Yatama, and a whole slew of characters have this subclass. (Counterfeiter) - With the right material and a sample, you can make a fake version of an item. With the proper materials and a high level in this subclass, you can even imitate the special abilities of an item or piece of equipment; however, there will usually be the word “fake” somewhere in the item’s description or name. Even with a high-enough skill level to cover that up, it can still be found out through an Appraisal. Furthermore, anything made will be capped at Production level and cannot be character-bound. The primary selling point of this subclass is its ability to mass-produce items. (Fuller) - Cleans material (in particular, usually wool) used to make cloth. Can adjust a garment or decrease the number of wool you have. It was created so that there would be a more realistic Production subclass. At lower levels, users of this subclass can only process woolen stuff, but as their level increases, so does the range of their ability. *Although it is a minor subclass, Akatsuki was acquainted with one such Adventurer. (Glassblower) - A part of the industrial arts, this subclass involves the creation of glass items. This subclass is of a lower-rank than other subclasses because of its initially-low demand. However, high-level Glassblowers will find themselves in high demand due to their ability to create tempered glass and glass fibers. While it is fragile, glass blades have a much sharper edge than metal ones. (Apparently, glass knives really do exist.) (Instrument Crafter/Luthier) - Creates instruments for Bards (or music-related Subclasses). Can create almost any instrument that appears in an orchestra -- string, woodwind, brass, percussion, and perhaps even some modern ones from the real world. A luthier specializes in stringed instruments like violins, guitars, and lutes. This profession can bring in quite a bit of gold, as people are willing to pay higher prices for rarer or more complex instruments, which makes up for the large amounts of materials and skill needed. (Knife Grinder) - Restores the durability of weapons and armor. However, if a piece of equipment is completely worn out, it requires a Blacksmith to repair. This subclass is indispensable for raids and parties because of how easy it becomes to repair equipment; the only materials needed are a whetstone and water. (Mason) - Can create statues and monuments. With a Carpenter, you can even make bridges or other civil engineering projects out of stone. There is also a Phantasmal-class skill to create Slate. (Machinist/Mechanic) - A subclass known for being very difficult to acquire because one of the prerequisites to the to obtain it requires you to be a high-level glassblower. In lore, Machinists would study the technology left behind by the Alvs; however, such actions were considered taboo by most Landers and so such studies were conducted in secret. After the Catastrophe, Machinists have had success in developing new technology like the steam engine, the Ocypete, and watches. (Magical Artificer) - Advances from the Alchemist subclass line. They can create magic-imbued weapons, equipment, and even items. It’s said that they’re even capable of creating items like flying carpets or pumpkins that turn into carriages. (Pharmacist) - Brews potions. Acquired by going through the Doctor subclass line. -Roderick and Eltendiska have this subclass. (Potter) - A part of the industrial arts that involves creating ceramic vessels out of natural ingredients. Creating items such as plates and bowls, this subclass was placed at the lowest on the scale in comparison to other subclasses like Sukisha and Master Crafter because of its initially-low demand. However, it has become in high demand with the Landers after the Catastrophe, so the value of this subclass has risen dramatically. High-leveled potters have gained many admirers now. (Scribe) - Be able to create records and legal documents, and create your own higher-quality inks and papers. -Shiroe, Fragrant Olive, and Nantakei@Akiba have this subclass. (Swordsmith) - Can make swords. Hard to level because the user can only make swords, so people call it a "masochist's subclass," but high-level Swordsmiths are hard to come by and are thus highly-valued; there are probably less than 10 in the entire Yamato server. -Tatara has this subclass and is one of the few high-leveled ones. (Tailor) - Sew cloth and leather armor by hand. -Minori used to have this subclass; Hisako, Liliana, and Azalea have this subclass. (Weapon Crafter) - Create higher-grade weapons than Blacksmiths. Acquired by completing a subclass change quest after reaching a certain level in the Blacksmith subclass. (Woodcrafter) - Can create wood-based items, including wooden jewelry and instruments. -Maryelle and Nakai Kawatarou have this subclass.

Role-Playing Subclasses ():

(Accountant) - In order to acquire this subclass, a test is required. One part of the test requires the usage of an abacus. It also provides the player a bonus when conducting business transactions or negotiations with other players and Landers in the game Elder Tale. -Henrietta, Isami, and Tohya have this subclass. (Acrobat) - Have a higher threshold for fall damage (so you can fall from higher places and sustain less damage from it). They are also less affected by uneven terrain. Can also gain certain items, like unicycles or juggling batons, to perform tricks with. (Apprentice) - After registering another player as your teacher, you can copy their subclass’ low-level skills (the skill level must be half the Apprentice’s level). This subclass has an EXP bonus, which makes it quick to level, although it has a level cap of 50. When you decide to change subclasses, as long as it’s not a subclass with special class-change requirements, you keep your EXP from being an Apprentice. While it is possible for you to have multiple teachers, there is an even greater restriction on the skills that you can copy. -Minori and Yuzuko currently have this subclass. (Arcanist/Magic Scholar) - Allows them to create magical consumable items like magic scrolls. -ReGan has this subclass. (Architect) - Urban planners. (Astrologer) - Acquired by going through either the Fortune Teller or Scholar subclass line. Increases detection ability. (Avenger) - The abilities of this Slayer-like subclass are revealed after registering a person from your friends list as “the one you avenge”. If that Player receives damage or is inflicted with an abnormal status, you have special skills that can help you take revenge on the one who did it. -Ragoumaru has this subclass. (Beautician) (Believer) - Same stats as the Occult Doubler subclass. It represents those who have interests in different worldly things and hobbies, and is used by those who like multi-system classes, dual-system classes, or hybrid classes. You can acquire some Healing-class spells, a little bit of one subclass and a bit of another. Although this subclass seems strong at a glance, not many use it. The strength of special abilities is limited to their basic level, and the number of special abilities one can learn is limited. Casting time of spells can increase five-to-tenfold, and cooldown two-to-fourfold. Because of this, the subclass is more decorative than it is combat-efficient. After the Catastrophe, there may be more uses for this subclass. (Berserker) - Increased resilience, provides HP absorption attacks and increased defense near death. -Krusty is famous for using this subclass. Richou also has it. : A strong attack with 3-5 consecutive hits. Can only be learned if you are one of the Warrior classes. : Strengthens attack damage, but you cannot evade. Can only be learned by Warrior classes. : You view anyone around you as hostile enemies and rush to destroy them. Prevents damage and status effects, but enemies are determined from “those closest to you,” including allies. (Body Builder) - : Show off the beauty and charm of your muscle, stiffening/stunning enemy for a fixed chance. : Enable a higher chance of stunning the target when 2 or more people use Muscle Posing. The higher the level of the skill, the more people that can join in. (Bombardier) - Capable of using long-range weapons. Requires the player to be level 50 or above. (Border Patrol/Frontier Guard) - Border Patrol provides strong defense and offense in combat and takes heavy damage from foes, always holding ground as long as possible until victory or defeat. -Naotsugu has this subclass. : Collect many items from defeated monsters. : Covers all party members for 15 seconds. (Butler) - The Butler is tasked in serving a master in every need and always loyal to him/her. -Azuki-ko has this subclass. (Carpenter) - Can construct buildings or build furniture. (Cartographer) - Creates maps. Some monsters drop Treasure Maps, and it’s up to the cartographer to decipher the map and hunt out the location of the treasure. (Chindon'ya) - You can make loud noises and bang on drums. You also get to wear really ugly costumes. -KR has this subclass. (Clown) - Although called Clowns, street performers also fall under this subclass. (Coachman) (Collector) - People who like collecting certain items as a hobby. On a practical level, it has the ability to slightly increase drop rates, to enhance collecting efficiency. (Commander) - Acquired by going through the Knight subclass line. Represents a frontline commander that leads troops in combat. You can strengthen and support allies in large-scale battles. However, because there are no self-buffing skills, it’s not good for solo play; as a result, Knight remains more popular than Commander. -Kyouko has this subclass. (Courtesan) - A rare subclass created on a whim by the creators; you can start rumors and negotiations (“secret maneuvers and negotiations”) within the imperial court. You also have skills to raise your reputation, which can give you gold and items at random. -Nureha has this subclass. / (Croupier/Dealer) - A part of the Gambling subclasses. Act as a manager of a casino, monitoring for cheating. Natural enemy of gamblers since you can cancel the effects of a random number chance. In Europe, the subclass is called Croupier; in the North American server, it’s Dealer. (Courier/Deliverer) - Acquired by doing a lot of delivery quests. This subclass gives bonus rewards for completing delivery quests (the higher the level, the more rewards you get as well), grants special mounts, and increases the amount of items you can carry. A subclass best-suited for solo players. - Leonardo has this subclass. (Crusher) - Increases damage dealt with weapons such as an axe and one's destructive capabilities. Post-Catastrophe, they are often used for the redesigning of cities and deforestation of areas. (Curseblade) - Can use Cursed items without suffering as many drawbacks. - HighlandSky has this subclass. (Dentist) - Can use the Overskill , which allows them to use their dentistry skills in battle. (Diva/Songstress) - Allows the user to make music. You can learn some of the Bard class’s songs in exchange for Weapon-class skills. A Bard with this subclass exchanges attack strength for increased song power. Men can also be divas. (Doctor) - A basic subclass that can be easily acquired several hours into the game. As the name suggests, it relates to the handling of medicine. It is often used as a stepping-stone to other subclasses, like Pharmacist. (Dragon Trainer) - Very difficult subclass to get, acquired by going down the Trainer subclass line. Allows the user to have a NPC dragon pet even without being a Summoner. It is mainly limited to high-level players, as you need to undertake a subclass change quest from an NPC in the hidden Dragon Sanctuary, as well as have a large amount of combat ability in order to handle the dragons. (Dragon Warrior) - Give you the power of a dragon, granted by the high-ranking “True Dragon.” Once this subclass is acquired, it cannot be changed until you go through its special subclass removal quest. This subclass can partially handle a dragon’s power through the spell Dragonized Form, based on another spell called Dragon Dive. However, it doesn’t actually turn the Adventurer into a dragon; instead, it gives them an aura in the form of a dragon. Those who use this power, though, also gain all of the dragon’s weaknesses, such as elemental weakness and a weakness to dragon-slaying weapons or skills. (Duelist) - A roleplaying subclass that represents one’s honor and chivalry in a one-on-one fight. You gain various bonuses during a duel, or some support skills to make a fight one-on-one. On the other hand, to display a “respect for a duel of honor,” poison skills and deceptive attack skills are forbidden. In other words, it would be a terrible decision for an Assassin to pick this subclass. This subclass is powerful in a one-on-one, but is less effective in group-on-group battles, so it’s pretty unpopular. Its benefits are outclassed by other fighter subclasses, but it can be useful for solo players. -Junzou has this subclass. (Engineer) (Executioner) - You can legally kill Landers. Involves decapitation. (Exorcist) - A type of Slayer class usually held by the Healing-class rear guard of a party, especially Kannagi. Targets Undead and Demonic monsters. (Explorer/Pathfinder) (Farmer) - Sandy has this subclass. (Feudal Lord) - As its name suggests, this subclass represents a person who owns land and has serfs working under him. This subclass can be attained by purchasing a zone that has Landers living there, or by attracting Landers to live there. Experience is gained by performing territory management, somewhat like a miniature garden for those who acquired this subclass. By managing it well, you can level up and gain more benefits, such as more skills and a higher income. / (m, Fisherman) or (, Ama/Female Diver) - A subclass suitable for working in the sea. Reduces penalties for being underwater and increases the amount of time you can spend submerged. There is also a Slayer subclass-like effect when engaging aquatic monsters. It is a popular subclass that was implemented during the 2003 expansion pack , when water travel and oceans became available. (Fletcher) - Mainly used for supplementing Adventurers who use bows as their weapon. Usually, Woodcrafters make normal arrows and Blacksmiths can create magic arrows, but a Fletcher can create any kind of arrow. The primary problem for archers is that purchasing or creating arrows is costly, since the number of arrows you can hold is finite, so it is a struggle getting all the materials needed. In combat, Fletchers get some special skills. : Requires a special furnace along with the ingredients. (Florist) - Cultivate and sell flowers, especially rare and delicate ones that bring lots of money. (Followers of the Sun God) - Effective against Undeads. Very flashy, so it's pretty popular. Many people with this subclass show their status as a "believer" with intense emotion. You gain a number of Light attacks and skills at the cost of decreased stealth. Light-based skills are boosted by the sun’s power, and you gain resistance to abnormal statuses from Undead monsters. However, for actually exterminating Undeads, an Undead Hunter would be better for the job. : Imbue weapon with power of the sun, a light elemental attack. (Food Fighter) - Speeds up food consumption (decreased food item cooldown), resistance to poison, and can eat almost anything. Useful after the Catastrophe since it made eating the tasteless food slightly more pleasant; in fact, it even tastes delicious if you have a high enough level. Furthermore, if someone with this subclass feeds another person without it, it still has the sense of having taste. In order to acquire this subclass, however, you have to eat 100 pieces of sushi, something that became very difficult to accomplish after the Catastrophe. : Allows the use of multiple items at once. Number of items (2-3) that can be consumed increases by level. : Consumes the item instantly, preventing any interruption. : Shortens the cooldown of some food items at the cost of some MP. : Negates the effect of poison. : Appraisal of items through tasting it. After the Catastrophe, it allows the user to taste menu-created food as if it were like real-life food. (Forager/Harvester) (Fortune Teller) (Friend of the Sea) - A subclass presumably found on the Oceanian server. Can use the Overskill to communicate at low frequencies. (Fugitive) - Similar to the Tracker subclass in that it can hide the user. However, this subclass is mainly designed for escaping and soloing. (Gambler) - Provides boosts based on luck. -Nazuna has this subclass. : When the amount of damage you deal is a repdigit (i.e. 11, 444, 7777), the effect is doubled. (Effect of what? I don’t know.) : Increases the duration of a critical hit buff. : Pay half of your HP as “insurance”. If you die, you will be resurrected with half your HP. : When using the same skill twice, you can boost the skill’s effect by using 10% more MP. If the skill successfully lands, each usage of that skill will increase its effect exponentially. However, if it fails, you pay double the normal cost. (I’m guessing it only applies to combat skills … if you miss/fail a healing or buffing skill, you really have to suck.) : Unlocked at Level 50. : (Gardener) - Can have the Overskill . Those who can use this Overskill are known as . (Gemsmith) (Gladiator) - Provides buffs in PvP and is designed to the audience. Skills can only be activated in certain situations, such as “taking the opponent’s attack head-on,” “the battle exceeded a certain duration,” or “recovering HP and MP.” this subclass also grants some regional Warrior-class abilities that are beneficial for PvP. -Isaac has this subclass. (Grave Robber) - Illegally dig at ruins, such as a dungeon. Have the skills of a Thief, especially those regarding trap cancellation, but is characterized by their ability to gather a lot of dead bodies, burial products, and decorations. This subclass is primarily used by NPC villains, and tends to trigger events. (Guider) (Herbalist) (Hero) - Boosts party morale, attracts enemy Hate, and boosts mental resistance. It’s not a completely useless class, but most of its abilities are cosmetic rather than practical, such as giving unique fanfare upon defeating enemies and gaining cosmetic accessories. - Londark has this subclass (Holy Warrior) - Exchanges some Warrior-class skills for recovery skills. (Housekeeper) - Have the ability to clean zones, arrange items, and manage consumables and storage items. Not to be mistaken for the Housewife/husband or Maid subclasses. -Serara has this subclass. or (Housewife or Househusband) - Fairly quick to level and allows the use of low-level skills of many other Subclasses, such as Chef, Tailor, Farmer, Brewmaster, Housekeeper, Dairy Farmer, and Herbalist skills. Although they are limited to creating very low-level items, the value of this subclass has really come to shine after the Catastrophe, since it allows people to lead more normal lives. (Hunter) - Have some overlaps with the Tracker subclass, such as increased accuracy and increased drop chances. One particularly notable ability of this subclass, however, is its ability to “recover and reuse arrows.” Though it activates on a very low chance (a 0.9% for a level 90 Hunter, depending on the rarity of the arrow), given how expensive arrows can be for higher-grade bows, missing out on such an ability is foolish. - William has this subclass. : Gee, I wonder. (Idol) - Allows the user to make music. Its capabilities are not to be underestimated, since it can, when used properly, be almost at the level of a Special Title. An idol can gain some skills of the Dancer, Diva, and Musician subclasses. -Tetora has this subclass. LV1: - Attracts attention from the surrounding area to yourself. Success rate of negotiations rises; that rate increases with each level. LV10: - Your beautiful singing voice can be heard even from far away. The target cannot mishear your voice. The range increases as you level up. LV20: - You are full of grace, the target can find you instantly. Automatic-triggering skill that draws attention towards you. LV30: - Your actions are nimble, resembling a dance. (Probably increases evasion/speed.) LV40: - Your name will somehow be known by others. Automatic-trigger skill. LV50: - Your words inflame the target, making them want to grant your every wish. LV60: - Your words reverberate powerfully and restore life to your allies, even in adverse situations. -only skill, that can only grant an opportunity for victory once. Automatic-triggering skill. LV90: - Your love wraps around an ally, increasing CRIT, Evasion, and Accuracy for 30 minutes. Can only be used once per Raid. (Insectivorous Plant) - Gain plant-like attributes such as “skin as hard as bark”. Also, in areas with moisture and sunlight, you can recover HP and MP faster. Boosts resistance to sunlight, poisons, and diseases. Makes you susceptible to Fire attacks, though. At higher levels, you can secrete a sweet nectar that attracts Monsters and animals. (Jeweler) (Kabuki) - Japanese-original subclass. Attracts Hate by wearing bright, flashy clothing and making attention-grabbing movements on the battlefield. Most people believe that this subclass is useless since it doesn't do the job as well as a Warrior-class's skills. : Taunt in a loud voice. Its efficacy is spotty, but it has a wide range and is effective when it works. (Kagemusha/Body Double) - Serve as a body double for an official or general to prevent assassinations. To prevent pranks, it is necessary to get the permission of the one to be imitated. Even your status screen will be changed to reflect the person you are serving as a body double for. currently has an organization of kagemusha as spies and patrols. (Knight) - Does not provide much combat benefit, but is highly popular nonetheless. -Dinkuron and Kazuhiko have this subclass. (Landlord/Landlady) - Dolce has this subclass (he’s a Landlady, somehow). (Landscaper) - (Land Surveyor) (Lawyer) - Has the skill / (Leatherworker) (Librarian) - Similar to Collector. (Little Child) - Designed for child players (since the recommended age is 15+), this subclass aims to make Elder Tale more educational, and also filters out crude or potentially age-inappropriate language. (Mahout) - An elephant trainer. (Maid) - Ukiyo has this subclass. or (Man-Slayer/Hitman) - Looks like it should be one of the Slayer subclasses, but it isn't. This subclass allows you to nullify the resistances or buffs of the opponent. It can also provide boosts in negotiations. (Maou/Demon Lord) - Originally an enemy-only class, it was later added as a subclass upon popular demand. However, it is a purely role-playing subclass that provides no combat bonuses, only changing the visuals. Instead, every ten levels, you receive a letter from “Daddy Demon Lord,” which expresses his concern for you and gifts you a cosplay item such as a cape or a headdress. In order to acquire this subclass, you must solo the level 50 subclass quest; no outside help from friends or allies is allowed. After the Catastrophe, it seems as if those with this subclass have slightly better negotiation abilities. (Mercenary) (Merchant/Trader) (Miner) (Musician) - Allows you to play a musical instrument and create your own music rather than play from predetermined songs (such as a Bard’s skill). The difficulty level of songs that you can play increases with the subclass’s level. Unlike a Bard, who can “let go” of an instrument and still have their songs take effect, a Musician has to continue playing for the skills to trigger. (Mystic Rogue/Magic Thief) - A multi-class subclass. Get Magic-class skills in exchange for Weapon-class skills. Doesn’t seem to have much affiliation with the Rogue subclass. (Necromancer) - Changes its capabilities depending on the Class of the user. Usually only Recovery- and Magic-class users use this subclass, but the amount of spells available to them usually drops dramatically. A Summoner has a wider array of Undead monsters it can summon. Recovery-class users gain a large boost in attack, but the amount of targets they can heal is much more limited. It's really a subclass for large-scale guilds, which have more members to cover any weak spots. (NEET) (Negotiator) - Mainly in the political field, working with nobles and merchants alike in dealing with trade and contracts. Like the Scribe subclass, they have the ability to create their own contracts after the Catastrophe. However, the Negotiator’s is automatically created, and their contracts can be magically enforced so that, if the contractor fails to abide by the contract, the Negotiator can levy a fine for the breach. (Noble) - Different from a High Noble, which is a Special Title. It was originally a Lander-only subclass that signified nobility, but localizing companies made it available to players due to popular demand. Your initial title is ‘Sir’, which is good, but as you level up, your title changes accordingly, to Baronet, Baron, Viscount, Earl, and Marquis (Adventurers reaching a title higher than Duke or Grand Duke has not been heard of). Landers can give the “Honorable Conduct” and “Noble-like Behaviour” quests (details vary). - Yaezakura has this subclass. - Upashi and Roreil Dawn have this as their sub-occupation. (Nomad) - A hybrid RP-Production subclass that shares some abilities with the Hunter, Tailor, and Coachman subclasses. Nomads can gain Material from animals like horses and sheep, such as dairy products or wool, and can also create items from them such as ponchos and tents. When using a horse mount, the amount of time that the mount can be summoned for is increased. - Isuzu has this subclass. (Novelist) (Nudist) - Gain special effects while wearing no protective equipment with the exception of some accessories. It was intended to be a comedic subclass, and naturally has no users because of all its demerits. … You would think that, but actually, there seems to be one person who has chosen to use it. LV1: Increases your stats, gives you the skill. LV5: Cuts physical damage taken by ⅛. LV10: Cuts magic damage taken by ⅛. LV15: DEF rises by 10% LV20: Evasion rises by 10%. Grants the special skill , which makes you pose naked in the middle of the battlefield, making both allies and enemies uneasy and lowering their stats. LV25: ATK rises by 20%, CRIT and recovery rates rise (Occult Doubler) - See Believer (Outlaw) - Delicious has this subclass. (Painter) (Pilgrim) (Pirate) - Chika has this subclass. (Poison User) - Can create poison-based items, has boosted Poison skills, and has knowledge on various poisons and poisonous items/plants. Has the ability to poison their weapon. Effective against healers/healing spells, but not very effective against Undead, golems and other inorganic things. -Towa has this subclass (Precant/Prayer Hand) - Sasameyuki and Asuka have this subclass. (Prospector) (Repairer) (Rogue) - A familiar RPG class. Allows you to steal from monsters, lay traps, rob people, lockpick, and eavesdrop. Not good with whole-body armor, though. -Hien has this subclass : Steal an item from a monster. The item stolen is chosen at random from a set of items. Although you can use this skill multiple times on the same target, the success rate will drop. (Ronin) - (Rune Knight) - Knights who can call upon magical runes in battle. As the name implies, it’s derived from the Knight subclass line. - Odiso has this subclass. (Rune Master) - Allows the engraving of magic runes onto items. However, whatever item the rune is engraved on will be destroyed after activating the rune. / (Sailor) - A sub-job related to ships. : Have a fixed chance of resurrecting if you die on land. Requires a ship to be registered or owned. (Scholar) (Scout) - Prometheus has this subclass. (Sculptor) (Secretary) - Can be obtained after using the Apprentice subclass and mentoring under an Assistant. (Sheriff) - Has skill . (Sigilmancer/Sigil Shaman) - You can engrave runes onto an item, giving it a special effect. Some Landers are known put them onto their own bodies; such people are rare in number, though, and so the technique is still a mystery. Furthermore, because they cannot make the items they engrave the runes on, they have to buy the items or acquire them via battle. As a result, it’s a rather costly subclass as well. This subclass can be acquired after raising the Alchemist subclass. (Spy) (Storyteller) (Sukisha) - Tea master. See this link for more information about the term. This subclass only exists on the Yamato server, due to how deeply-rooted it is in Japanese culture. (Survivor) - Represents those "lucky ones" who can survive almost any crisis. Triggered by an adverse situation such as "my weapon broke," "under an abnormal state," or "subject to critical hits and ambushes." However, not many have this subclass because it's not very useful in normal circumstances, and getting into an adverse situation can be difficult, so it's effectiveness is debated. (Swindler) (Sword Maker) - Unlike a , you cannot create swords. This is a purely role-playing subclass. (Tactician/Strategist) - Found in many raiding guilds, Tacticians support their allies with their skills and watch over the battlefield. Some of their skills allow them to be excellent timers. After the Catastrophe, since the number of opportunities to participate in raids has decreased (due to lack of people), the chances at being a Tactician are low. As a result, many have switched subclasses. -Rieze has this subclass. (Talismancer) - A subclass that uses Taoism-based magic. Mainly a support-type subclass that uses talismans (lucky charms or incantations) to defend against or counter an attack. -Touko has this subclass. (Tamer/Animal Trainer) - Capture monsters up to a certain level and raise them as pets or for combat purposes. However, you have to stay with the pet at all times, as they cannot be invoked and dismissed at will like a Summoner’s. The tamed monster will also die when they are killed, unlike Summons. It is also harder to capture monsters capable of understanding human speech. (Torturer) - Can use the Overskill . Skills from this subclass have half their efficacy against monsters, who don’t sense pain as much. (Tracker) - Can follow targets undetected, hide their presence, or move in the dark. In conjunction with the Assassin class, it can be used to dispatch enemies without being sensed at all. They can also be used with Hunter subclasses to find ingredients or prey. -Akatsuki and Kitsunesaru have this subclass. - Hiding skill - Hiding skill - Just as the name implies. - Detection skill (Trapper) - Hisako currently has this subclass. (Traveler of Seven Lands) - Kanami’s subclass prior to switching accounts. (Undead Hunter) - One of the Slayer subclasses. Guess what it hunts. (Vampanella) - Powerful at night, but have to avoid sunlight and are weakened by it. Can replenish HP by sucking blood and can transform into a bat to travel longer distances quickly. Although it's really just a Vampire, the official name is Vampanella. To clarify, are monsters, are Adventurers with the subclass. -Roe2 has this subclass. : Recover HP by ... sucking blood. : Transform into a bat to cover long distances. (Vendor) (Viking) - Vuoinen has this subclass. (Wanderer) - This subclass is close to being a Special Title, although it is only advantageous for solo players. If you venture into another server and arrive at a City with a Cathedral without being a member of a guild or party in that area, you can change subclasses. When you’re playing solo, you get special skills, faster movement speeds, quicker cooldown times, higher successful escape rates, higher recovery rates at a camp, and exclusive item drops. However, playing with others can actually worsen your fighting capabilities and debuff you. (Wand Fighter) - Increases the damage dealt by wands and allows you to take on a frontline position. You can cut down casting times and hit the enemy twice, instead of changing your range. Spells like act as special Defensive spells. It’s not very compatible with Sorcerers and Summoners because the subclass’ special skills cannot be used to maximum efficiency. Almost completely limited to solo players due to its inefficiency in a party; you can’t perform roles like tanking very well. (Wand Master) - Create consumable items that can be used to activate magic spells through the use of a wand. Derived from the Alchemist subclass. It has the advantage of not consuming MP when used and being usable by any Class, but its power, casting time, and general performance is at a visible disadvantage to a specialist’s. Also, not every Class is suitable for using Wands; maintaining a Wand when you don’t usually use it can be pretty costly. It is a difficult-to-master subclass whose power lies in “balancing the calculation of a battle and the management of resources.” / (War Priest) - Exchanges some Healer-class skills for Warrior-class skills. -Coppelia and Kurinon have this subclass. (Wuxia/Bukyo) - Some attack motions change. Provides a hit bonus (increases accuracy?). : The nine sword stances created for fighting any type of weapon. It’s easier to read about them. : When your HP reaches 0, there is a low chance of activating the effect , which cancels your death.

Lander-only Subclasses: (Ancient) - Elias Hackblade’s subclass. Denotes that he is an Ancient, a guardian of the land. He’s the only one left, though. (Elder Maid) (Rose Garden Princess) - Made for Rayneshia.

Special Titles (): There are some notes about special titles: 1. They are very hard to attain, usually having requirements such as "Kill X number of Monster A" (Slayer titles) or being purely on chance. 2. There is also a scarcity rating. Just because it is rare does not mean the subclass is useful. Some subclasses are limited to certain events (such as Champion, which only has perks in tournaments). 3. Even though Special Titles can be powerful, game balance has to be kept in mind. If veteran players had powerful subclasses with equally powerful equipment, it may discourage other players from continuing.

(Admiral) - For naval large-scale combat. Better than the Sailor and Pirate subclasses. In the TRPG, it is a normal roleplaying subclass. (Blue-Blood) - Given the blood of the royal family, dragon, or even a God. Mostly possessed by Ancients and other certain NPCs, but Adventurers who have it get special capabilities in certain quests. (Category Error) - A special Japanese-only subclass from a special event that claims that the user could "destroy the framework of the 12 Classes and use their skills freely." Of course, however, the reality was that the user was just a jack-of-all trades and it wasn't actually that game-breaking, since you mastered nothing. (Champion) - Similar to a Gladiator, but it is acquired by continuously winning tournaments and only provides boosts during tournaments. It is a normal subclass in the TRPG. (Dragon Slayer) - Can be acquired after defeating 70+ Legion raid (90 people) Raid Boss dragons. It was intended for the 2008 expansion pack "Supreme Ruler's Ambition," which raised the level cap to 70, but the difficulty made this subclass unknown. At the next expansion pack, which raised the level cap to 80, more players were able to get this subclass. It added some Evasion and Defense skills of Warrior classes to support the front lines against the dragons. Some special skills were also added to balance the subclass. (General) - Increases command leadership and gains buffs from it. Better than the Commander subclass. This is a regular subclass in the TRPG. (Giant Slayer) - One of the Slayer titles. To get it, you have to kill Legion-raid Raid Bosses of at least level 80 or above. Range of attack is broadened, defense is raised, and damage dealt to a Giant is raised. However, you cannot equip any small weapons. (Hero) - A title given to veterans of the game who have continuously defeated Raid Bosses. The actual effects of its benefits are slim to none, so it's mostly for show. : Increases HP and MP a bit during major battles (i.e. Raid Bosses, long quests’ boss battles, etc.) (Hundred-Man Slayer) - A subclass based off of the historical event, it is acquired by killing 100+ players, an ultimate display that you are a PKer. Related to the Slayer subclass, so you can change to an upwards-compatible subclass if you have another one. (Magical Girl) - Created for a tie-in with a popular . Provides a cute mascot that allows the user to change into a special costume using a magical transformation. It is not gender-restricted, but there is a certain stigma on those with Physical attack classes using it. (Ninja) - A subclass that can be found overseas, under the impression that “Ninja = Superman,” and so you can acquire several “ninja-like” skills. The quest to acquire this subclass is very difficult, and has been compared to a raid, but the benefits are said to be worth the effort. However, some players criticize it as being “too fantastical,” and players across the globe are divided over its pros and cons. Furthermore, this subclass was not implemented on the Yamato server. (Phantom Thief) - (Prince-Elector) - Represents the prince-electors of the Holy Roman Empire, who would select the next king. Better than the Noble subclass. Because it is based on the European server, it is a subclass found only on the European server. Serves as an electorate of a certain area (which is essentially the same as owning a zone). After the Catastrophe, it seems as though their influence has changed from when it was a game. (Rock Star) - Originally supposed to be the replacement for the Bard class in North America, it was instead used for a limited event. It has very flashy moves, and allows for the usage of musical instruments as an actual weapon (although they do hold the risk of breaking). Rock Stars can also hold jam sessions, live concerts, and other gag elements that made it appealing enough to be spread worldwide in a patch. Some guilds comprised of Rock Stars have formed their own in-game bands. (Sage) - Gain the powers of the three Healer and the three Mage classes. By using a skill scroll, you can use their high-level skills. (Soul Blade) - A subclass introduced in the Homesteading the Noosphere expansion pack. The user of this Title can embed their soul into their weapon, which gains various abilities as it grows. Such weapons are called “Maken” (kanji reads Magic/Demonic Blade). Although it's called a "Soul Blade," the actual effects of the magic sword extend beyond just swords. It can even boost Magic power instead of Physical power. Those who have this subclass face a penalty to their attributes/stats that is covered by the Maken; the higher the level, the larger penalty there is to the user and the stronger the Maken becomes. To level up this subclass, you have to find and defeat another Soul Blade; Soul Blades can be both players and Landers. In fact, the quest to get this subclass involves defeating a “swordsman bewitched by a magic sword.” (Sword Saint) - Soujiro and Takayama Misa have this subclass. (Vampire Hunter) - A Slayer title, it was implemented as a countermeasure for the rather overpowered Vampanella subclass. Because Vampanellas were too OP for a while, many people attained the Vampire Hunter subclass, which could be changed through a quest rather than the usual way, and began forming PK Guilds to hunt Vampires. However, once the Vampanella subclass was nerfed, the value of this subclass also decreased.

It might just be the dice, but it seems as though the number of pips (dots on a die) you want appear slightly more often when you use (Gambler skill). ● (Blessing of the Goddess: So-Called “Tarot Cards):
