Live the Italian Open experience

The Italian Open boasts a long history of champions who have ennobled its roster, alongside others who have brought prestige to the tournament despite not winning. The Italian Open was founded in 1925 and has been part of the European PGA Tour since its 1st season held in 1972.

The 76th edition of the Italian Open will be held from 10th to 13th October at the Olgiata Golf Club in Rome, that was also the venue of the Italian Open back in 2002, in preparation for the forthcoming Ryder Cup to be held in 2022. The greatest golfers on the global scene will be eagerly awaited on the course for an event that will combine sporting aspects with entertainment so as to involve also non-golfers.

Immersed within a natural context with an extremely charming landscape, the Olgiata Golf Club was inaugurated in 1961 with an 18-hole championship course designed by the English architect C. Kenneth Cotton. Later, in 2012, the club underwent extensive restyling designed by the American architect Jim Fazio.

Enjoy the Italian Open in complete tranquillity Guests will be able to attend the days of the tour- nament held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th Octo- ber 2019. The service includes, not only entry tickets to the event itself, but also the return trip via private shuttle from the hotel to the Olgiata Golf Club and vice versa. Play on two exclusive golf courses and experience Rome

Discover Italy while playing golf! Acquasanta Golf Club

The Acquasanta Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Italy, in fact, the first document attesting to the existence of the Rome Golf Club dates back to 12th January 1903. The Acquasanta Golf Club is considered in all respects the oldest circle in Italy, the course is both truly spectacular and unique consi- dering that the Roman aqueduct runs right through part of the 18-hole course, the Club House is welcoming and elegant, with a decidedly British atmosphere, two restaurants and an outdoor pool all of which amplify the charm of this Club, rightly considered the most famous in Italy.

Castelgandolfo Golf Club

This mansion, built in the 17th century, overlooks the crater of an extinct volcano. The residence, originally commissioned by Cardinal Flavio Chigi, is now considered the most charming club house among the golf clubs to choose from; thanks to the creative flair of Robert Trent Jones Sr., the volcano crater, has been transformed into achallenging golf course, with a wealth of intriguing technical features. The naturally-laid ground has been endowed with one hundred and one tricks including age-old olive trees, oaks and cluster pines. The balcony of the club house offers a fascinating, complete panorama of the 18-hole course, while four centuries of history provide protection within the walls of the club house and the seafront shines in the background. Experience Rome

Enjoy the atmosphere of a late summer break in the centre of Rome. You can admire the sun setting on its age-old architectural structures while savouring the best local, typical cuisine in a selection of excellent restaurants. Both the splendid 4-star hotel and the restaurants in which the 4 included dinners will be held, are in a very strategic position, right in the city centre of Rome, only a few minutes’ wonderful, enchanting walk through major tourist attractions of the Eternal City such as the Imperial Forums, the Coliseum, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia or the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo

Nestled in Rome’s historic city centre, within walking distance from the main tourist desti- ROMA nations, the 4-star Hotel Mediterraneo is an authentic 1930s Art Deco hotel designed by architect Mario Loreti in 1938. Perched on top of Esquiline Hill, the highest of Rome’s Seven Hills, the Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo provi- des unparalleled, breath-taking views of Rome.
