Formed on 21 March 1836 as The Chepstow Waterworks Company. Incorporated on 11 April 1843 under the name of The Chepstow Water Company. In 1917 it absorbed the Water Company and inl919 the Water Works Ltd. The company was superceded in 1960 by the Newport and South Water Board
