Iowa State, which is ranked No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches poll, is the No. 2 seed in the 2013 Big 12 (home: 13-2, away: 6-5, neutral: 3-0) Championships and faces Oklahoma Sunday at American Airlines Center in its first semifinal appearance since 2009. This is the fourth time Iowa State has earned the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Championships (1998, NOVEMBER 1999, 2010, 2013). The Cyclones were picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 preseason poll. 1 NW Missouri State (Exh.) W, 80-33 2. ISU swept the season series with OU. Hallie Christofferson, a unanimous All-Big 12 first team pick, averaged 6 William Penn (Exh.) W, 98-55 25.5 points in the two games. 11 Western Illinois (Ctv) W, 84-65 3. The Cyclones, who have won 20 games for the 12th time under head coach Bill Fennelly, beat Kansas, 77-62, 18 North Dakota (Ctv) W, 73-34 Saturday evening. Chelsea Poppens had 24 points and 14 boards and Christofferson added 23 points. 23 ^Loyola Marymount W, 55-33 4. Christofferson continues to be one of the most consistent players in the nation. She is fourth in the Big 12 24 ^Illinois W, 68-50 averaging 16.2 points per game and 12th in rebounding at 6.6 boards per game. The junior has scored in 27 Drake (Ctv) W, 87-45 double digits in 25 of 29 games this season, including eight games in a row and 11 games with 20+ points. She has shot 50 percent or better from the field in 19 games and is shooting 53.2 percent. In the last eight DECEMBER games, Christofferson is averaging 21.0 points and 6.4 rebounds. She is 41-for-47 from the charity stripe 6 %at Iowa (BTN) L, 50-42 during that stretch. She has made 21 consecutive free throws, including 8-for-8 vs. Kansas. 9 Fairfield (Ctv) W, 60-43 5. Iowa State continues to lead the Big 12 in free-throw shooting and rank second nationally at 80.1 percent as 17 at Northern Iowa W, 67-59 a team, which is just ahead of the Big 12 record (Missouri, .790 in 2007). Nikki Moody leads the Big 12 and is third nationally dishing out 7.5 assists per game. Three Cyclones have reached the 1,000-point mark this season. Most recently, Christofferson needed 25 FEBRUARY points against West Virginia to join the list. She scored 27. Notice of the time, date, and place of this meeting was submitted t o the Secretary of State as required by Enrolled House Bill 1416 (1977 Oklahom a Legislature) . The following Regents were present : Regent Dan Little, Chairman o f the Board, presiding ; Regents Julian J . Rothbaum, Tom McCurdy, John M. Imel , Thomas Elwood Kemp, Charles F . Sarratt, and Ronald H . White, M .D . The following also were present : Dr . William S . Banowsky, Presiden t of the University, Senior Vice President and Provost J . R . Morris, Vice Presi- dent Arthur J . Elbert, Barbara H . Tuttle, Executive Secretary of the Board o f Regents, and Mr . Stanley M . Ward, Chief Legal Counsel . The first item on the agenda was consideration of the Big Eight Con- ference football television contract for 1984 with Katz Sports . Regent Littl e called on Senior Vice President Morris . Dr . Morris reported the other seven members of the Big Eight Conference have approved the television package wit h Katz for 1984 which guarantees a minimum of $125,000 per game for 10 to 1 4 games . The reasonable expectation, he said, is that it will generate abou t $300,000 per game . Because of the College Football Association agreement wit h ABC Television, of which we are a part, the Katz plan will require an 11 :30 beginning time for any games which are televised under the Big Eight plan .
