Comparisons The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll has surpassed MERS (final toll of 858 deaths in 2012) and SARS (final toll of 774 deaths in 2003). 2009 H1N1 (Swine flu): Estimated between 151,700 and 575,400 deaths. Influenza: 290,000 to 650,000 deaths per year. This figure corresponds to 795 to 1,781 deaths per day due to the seasonal flu.

INTERPOL: NCBS, RBS AND IPSG NCB The Hague sent a message to IPSG providing an update on the impact on society during the Easter weekend, as well as the official statistics of COVID-19 until 13/04. NCB Bujumbura sent a message to CCC informing that the NCB is being operated normally. Staff is currently at Stand-by and business as usual.
