NOTIFicationS BY GOVERNMENT REVENUE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT Department COVID-19 – INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL – EXTENDING RESTRICTIONS IN THE territorial JURISDICTIONS OF THE State OF TAMIL NADU. [G.O. (Ms.) No. 247, Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-II), 23rd May 2020, ¬õè£C 10, ê£˜õK, F¼õœÀõ˜ Ý‡´-2051.] No. II(2)/REVDM/348(L-1)/2020. WHEREAS in the reference third and fourth read above, the Government have extended the State-wide lockdown from 00:00 hrs of 17-5-2020 till 24:00 hrs of 31-5-2020 under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 with various relaxations ordered in G.O.Ms.No.217, Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-II) Department, dated 3-5-2020 and amendments issued thereon with State specific existing restrictions and new relaxations. WHEREAS the Public and auto rickshaws Drivers associations have requested the Government to permit auto rickshaws for movement of persons. NOW THEREFORE the Government issue the following amendment to G.O.Ms.No.245, Revenue & Disaster Management (DM-II) Department, dated 18-5-2020: A) the sub-clause "Taxi and auto rickshaws are permitted for urgent medical treatment with TN e-pass within the District, in respect of 12 Districts where Intra District movements are otherwise not permitted" under Clause V shall be replaced as "Taxi are permitted for urgent medical treatment with TN e-pass within the District, in respect of 12 Districts where Intra District movements are otherwise not permitted. Auto Rickshaws however shall be permitted between 7 AM to 7 PM with a maximum of one passenger and the driver in all the areas across the State, except for areas under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai Police. However plying of auto rickshaws inside containment area continue to be prohibited. The auto rickshaw will be sanitized three times a day. Both the driver and the passenger will compulsorily wear masks. The auto driver will also make sanitizer available in the auto rickshaw for the use of the passenger. NOW THEREFORE the Government issue the following amendment to G.O.Ms.No.245, Revenue & Disaster Management (DM-II) Department, dated 18-5-2020: A) Under Clause V, the following Para shall be added at the end sub-clause ending with the words "wash hands with soap": "Cycle Rickshaws and the Cycle rickshaw puller shall be permitted between 7 AM to 7 PM with a maximum of one passenger in all the areas across the State, except for areas under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai Police. However plying of Cycle rickshaws inside containment area continue to be prohibited. The Cycle rickshaw will be sanitized three times a day. Both the Cycle rickshaw puller and the passenger will compulsorily wear masks/face cover. The Cycle rickshaw puller should maintain good hygiene and frequently wash hands with soap. They should also frequently drink water and cover their head considering the ensuing heat wave. [G.O. WHEREAS in the reference third and fourth read above, the Government have extended the State-wide lockdown from 00:00 hrs of 17-5-2020 till 24:00 hrs of 31-5-2020 under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 with various relaxations ordered in G.O.Ms.No.217, Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-II) Department, dated 3-5-2020 and amendments issued thereon with State specific existing restrictions and new relaxations. NOW THEREFORE based on the Hon'ble Chief Minister's Press Release dated 23.5.2020 and on the proposal of Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration, the Government issue the following amendment to GO.Ms.No.245, Revenue & Disaster Management (DM-II) Department, dated 18.5.2020 with effect from 24.5.2020. A) The sub-clause x under Clause I shall be replaced as x. Barber shops, Salons, Spa & Beauty Parlours in areas under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai Police and Malls. B) The sub-clause “ Barber shops in Rural areas” under Clause V shall be replaced as “Barber shops, Salons, Spa & Beauty Parlours shall function from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm in all the areas across the State, except for areas under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai Police and except in containment zones provided that workers from containment zones shall not be employed and workers with symptoms of fever, cold & cough shall not be allowed. Social distancing, wearing of face mask, shall be strictly followed by workers & customers. Further providing sanitizer to customers, frequent hand wash using soap by workers and sanitization of work place five times a day shall be strictly ensured.
