2014 - Best Year to Date...Again.

Nourmand & Associates Realtors had their best year to date in 2014. Starting with one office in 1976, they have become a household name in real estate with three offices strategically located in Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Hollywood. The company is now run by the Founder’s son, Michael Nourmand, who is the second generation to take the reins.

Nourmand & Associates:

• Attained a 2014 sales volume of nearly $800,000,000, up 18% from the company’s previous record in 2013. • Set a new benchmark by closing 582 deals. • Sold 80% of their listings. The average time to get an accepted offer was just over one month and their listings sold for 99.3% of their asking price.

Where Nourmand & Associates really surpasses the competition is in high end, off market sales.

Nourmand & Associates:

• Sold $164,700,000 off the market, which equates to more than 20% of the company’s sales volume. • Increased their off-market sales volume by 40% over the past year. • Represented 8 sides over $10M off the market and those deals were handled by six different agents at the company.

[senior moments] The Challenge of Living Long and Well By Stephanie Vendig, Ledger Columnist ASK GAIL Sotheby’s International Realty

Look who’s buying property now

You may be surprised to find that Millennials (ages 18-34) value home ownership differently than their parent’s generation. Millennials, unlike the baby boomers, are not getting married or having children as early. They take their time when buying a home and put importance on equity. They are motivated by the satisfaction of ownership rather than by buying a home to start a new family.

While Millennials make up the large majority of renters, most recognize the wise investment of homeownership. A recent online survey by C.A.R. (California Association of Realtors) polled 1,000 Millennials to determine the next generation’s feelings on entering the housing market.

The results prove that the baby boomer’s children would be prepared to purchase, but they have some apprehensions.
