ASIA - Armed to the Teeth (NEW*US EPIC HARD ROCK*LEGEND*WARLORD*RUSH) – 13 Euro Blood And Iron Records 2015 - PROGAOR Series # 1 - Cult rare Heavy Pomp/Prog Rock from the U.S. These American Asia only recorded two albums, one in 1978 and this one which is a true masterpiece in 1980. This album predates for a few years along with Legend's From the Fjords the Epic Prog Metal genre followed later by bands like Warlord and Dark Quarterer. Influenced by monsters like Uriah Heep, Styx, Rush and , Asia cemented their name on all the want lists of the Prog/Pomp collectors as well as the traditional Metal ones. Acid Nightmare released a few years ago Alpha Centauri and Legend so you know what to expect Out of Rapid City in South Dakota, from the ashes of the defunct band Whitewing (one very rare album much desired in Prog collectors circles), came ASIA, which recorded two independently released albums in 1979 and 1980 respectivelly. The band gained some momentum for a while, opening for major acts like Nazareth, Ted Nugent, Kiss, Molly Hatchet, etc. Unfortunatelly thedemise of Asia came with the dellusion of legal battles for the name with the British Pop- AOR Asia. The band legacy these days relies mostly on their cult masterpiece "Armed to the Teeth", released in 1980. An album that predates the Epic genre later pursued by bands like Warlord and Dark Quarterer, but also pleases any Pomp/AOR/Prog Rock fan. The only Asia CD release dates back from 1995 on the Wild Places label, but since the CD edition is very sought after now, we decided to team up with band leader Mike Coates and repackage again the two albums on one CD, but this time with an even bigger booklet of 32 pages, where the full band history is presented, as well as the projects pre and post Asia, rare pictures and the lyrics to both albums. Betsy Weiss, aka Betsy Bitch, has been a mainstay in the hard rock and heavy metal scene since the early '80s. The Los Angeles-based vocalist's band, BITCH, was the first band to ever release a record on future indie label giant Metal Blade. BITCH is still active decades later, performing with artists like and Loudness, and playing festivals throughout the globe. Despite BITCH's success, Weiss agreed to change the name of the band to BETSY in 1988 to see if it could help them reach a wider audience. Working with producer Chris Minto, the band released an eponymously titled album that same year. The resulting record features some of the most magnetic songs in Weiss' discography. Songs like "You Want It, You Got It" and "Flesh and Blood" are hook-filled affairs that any fan of Pat Benatar and melodic rock in general will absolutely eat up. The BETSY moniker might have only lasted for the one album, but the material certainly deserves a revisit. Originally released by Metal Blade, Betsy has been out of print for years now. That's where Divebomb Records come into the picture. The label secured the rights to reissue the album and worked closely with Betsy Bitch on the expanded liner notes. Not only does the CD include a brand new interview with the singer, it also features photos from her personal archives. BLITZKRIEG- A Time of Changes (NEW*LIM. 30th Anniversary ED.*NWOBHM + BONUS) - 15 Euro Metal Nation Records 2015 - UK Direct Import - NWOBHM Classic 30th Anniv. Rerelease + Bonus Tracks ! 2015 sees the 35th anniversary of the English classic rock band , Blitzkrieg who came into existence in 1980. Although their debut single (on ) was released in 1981 , 'Buried Alive b/s Blitzkrieg' it was not till 1985 that the band recorded their debut album as vocalist Brian Ross was involved with his other band , Satan recording and touring their debut opus ' Court In The Act ' . 30 years on because of catalogue sale and resale 'A Time Of Changes ' is lost in the vaults of corporate hell and may never see the light of day again. That said the current line up of Blitzkrieg wanted this album available to fans so they have completely rerecorded the album and added two bonus tracks . 'Too Wild To Tame' which should have made the LP back in 1980 but for time restrictions of vinyl then would not fit ! (It was originally covered by another Neat records stablemate , Avenger in the 1980's) The second bonus track , Jealous Love ' , has never been released before though written at the time . All the classic tracks are here too on this album including many still played live today which included the Metallica covered 'Blitzkrieg' track . It also features guess twin guitar appearances on 'Pull The Trigger' by Satan's Russ Tippins and Steve Ramsay. Great new artwork has been commissioned for the new version too by South American artist Ivan Chacon fronting a new 12 page booklet full of sleeve notes by Brian Ross , lyrics and new photos from the past and present line up..

Until then, they had performed more than 50 gigs (in roughly two years). After the demise of Marquis De Sade, guitarist San Remo immediately formed a new band called Sanctus. Musically Sanctus is more or less a direct continuation of Marquis De Sade. Maybe a bit more far out and spacey. "King For A King" for example is quite long and progressive, "Gates Of Sorrow" features some occult lyrics. The album also contains an outstanding re-recording of the Marquis De Sade classic "Welcome To The Graveyard". The current anthology collects the whole Sanctus catalogue, nine songs all in all (recorded between 1982 and 1983). Dreamy compositions such as "Temple In The Sky" or "Creature From Vercenta" show some slight influences of other NWOBHM acts such as the mighty Trespass and Shiva.
