Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin İlk Genel Nüfus Sayımında Ardahan Vilâyeti’nin Nüfus Özellikleri The Population Characteristics of Ardahan Province in the First General Census of the Turkish Republic Oğuz ŞİMŞEK* Özet Bu çalışmada, Ardahan ilinin, Cumhuriyeti’nin ilk genel nüfus sayımı olan 1927 Genel Nüfus Sayımı’ndaki nüfus özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın giriş bölü- münde 1927 Genel Nüfus Sayımı’ndan önceki dönemlerde Ardahan Vilâyeti’nin nüfusu ve nüfus özellikleri kısaca değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın asıl bölümünde ise, 28 Ekim 1927’de yapılan ilk genel nüfus sayımı sonuçlarına dayanılarak, Ardahan Vilâ- yeti’nin genel nüfusu ve cinsiyet itibariyle nüfusu incelenmiştir. Sonraki bölümlerde ise sırasıyla; yaş grupları itibariyle, medenî hale göre, okur-yazarlık durumuna göre, doğum yerleri bakımından, ekonomik faaliyet kolları itibariyle, anadile göre, sakatlık- lar temel alınarak, Ardahan Vilâyeti’nin nüfus yapısı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Ardahan ilinin Rus işgalinde kaldığı dönem ile Cumhuriyetin ilanından sonra yapılan ilk nüfus sayımı arasındaki nüfus özellikleri ve demografik yapısı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Mycosphere 6(3), 290–326, Doi 10.5943/mycosphere/6/3/7 Abstract The Dothideomycetes include several genera whose ascomata can be considered as apothecia and thus would be grouped as discomycetes. Most genera are grouped in the family Patellariaceae, but also Agrynnaceae and other families. The Hysteriales include genera having hysterioid ascomata and can be confused with species in Patellariaceae with discoid apothecia if the opening is wide enough. In this study, genera of the family Patellariaceae were re-examined and characterized based on morphological examination. As a result of this study the genera Baggea, Endotryblidium, Holmiella, Hysteropatella, Lecanidiella, Lirellodisca, Murangium, Patellaria, Poetschia, Rhizodiscina, Schrakia, Stratisporella and Tryblidaria are retained in the family Patellariaceae. The genera Banhegyia, Pseudoparodia and Rhytidhysteron are excluded because of differing morphology and/or molecular data. -

Melaspilea galligena sp. nov. growing on Pertusaria cf. cribellata is described from Russian Far East. A possibly new lichenicolous Toninia species (on Parmelina tiliacea) and a species of Arthonia (on Cladonia) with 1–2-septate ascospores resembling poorly known A. lepidophila are described, illustrated and discussed. Dactylospora suburceolata is reported new to Russia and Asia, growing on a new host species Mycobilimbia carneoalbida. Tremella cetrariicola is new to Siberia and Clypeococcum cetrariae is newly documented on Vulpicida. Proceedings of the Indiana Academy of Science 126(2):129–152 LICHENS AND ALLIED FUNGI OF THE INDIANA FOREST ALLIANCE ECOBLITZ AREA, BROWN AND MONROE COUNTIES, INDIANA INCORPORATED INTO A REVISED CHECKLIST FOR THE STATE OF INDIANA James C. Lendemer: Institute of Systematic Botany, The New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY 10458-5126 USA ABSTRACT. Based upon voucher collections, 108 lichen species are reported from the Indiana Forest Alliance Ecoblitz area, a 900 acre unit in Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood State Forests, Brown and Monroe Counties, Indiana. The lichen biota of the study area was characterized as: i) dominated by species with green coccoid photobionts (80% of taxa); ii) comprised of 49% species that reproduce primarily with lichenized diaspores vs. 44% that reproduce primarily through sexual ascospores; iii) comprised of 65% crustose taxa, 29% foliose taxa, and 6% fruticose taxa; iv) one wherein many species are rare (e.g., 55% of species were collected fewer than three times) and fruticose lichens other than Cladonia were entirely absent; and v) one wherein cyanolichens were poorly represented, comprising only three species. Taxonomic diversity ranged from 21 to 56 species per site, with the lowest diversity sites concentrated in riparian corridors and the highest diversity sites on ridges. Low Gap Nature Preserve, located within the study area, was found to have comparable species richness to areas outside the nature preserve, although many species rare in the study area were found only outside preserve boundaries. Sets of rare species are delimited and discussed, as are observations as to the overall low abundance of lichens on corticolous substrates and the presence of many unhealthy foliose lichens on mature tree boles. -
