BAD COMPANY to MAKE THEIR NETWORK LATE NIGHT DEBUT on the TONIGHT SHOW JUNE 10 Th FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 3, 2013 BAD COMPANY TO MAKE THEIR NETWORK LATE NIGHT DEBUT ON THE TONIGHT SHOW JUNE 10 th 40th Anniversary Celebration Tour Kicks Off On June 15 th New York --- Bad Company will make their network late night debut on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno next Monday June 10 th . The following day, the band will be the featured guests at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles for a rare Q&A with their fans and an intimate set. The Grammy Museum event sold out within five minutes of going on sale. This Wednesday evening, fans can tune into the long running nationally syndicated program ROCKLINE, which will feature Paul Rodgers as their guest. The band’s summer tour which will celebrate their 40th anniversary since forming begins on June 15 in Rancho Mirage, CA and will stage 30 dates, ending on September 29 at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona. In front of the tour, Paul Rodgers shares, "When Mick and I formed the band we were amazed at the instant success. It didn't hurt to have Led Zeppelin behind us and I think we wrote some decent songs that still resonate. This one is for the fans." Bad Company were dubbed a super-group upon the band's formation due to the union of Free's Paul Rodgers (Vocals / Multi-Instrumentalist) with Mott The Hoople's Mick Ralphs (Guitar) plus Free's Simon Kirke (Drums) and King Crimson's Boz Burrell (Bass), who passed away in 2006. Over the next nine years, the band released a string of six albums that sold tens of millions of copies, yielding international hits "Can't Get Enough," "Bad Company," "Feel Like Makin' Love," and many others penned by the main songwriters Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs. Original members Rodgers, Ralphs, and Kirke will be joined by guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning (from Paul Rodgers solo band). On 14 of the dates, Bad Company will co-headline with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Paul Rodgers recently shared, "The Skynyrds and I go back to the 70's and the days and nights at the Hyatt House on Sunset in LA aka the Riot House. In the 90's the band introduced me to my wife Cynthia, and that's why I am so damned happy and healthy these years." Lynyrd Skynyrd's Johnny Van Zant offered, "Every member of Skynyrd has been fans of Bad Company from the get go. Personally, Paul is one of my favorite rock singers.     BAD COMPANY BIOGRAPHY One of the most acclaimed bands of the classic rock era, England's Bad Company has put its indelible stamp on rock 'n' roll with a straight- ahead, no-frills musical approach that has resulted in the creation of some of the most timeless rock anthems ever. Led by the incomparable singer and songwriter Paul Rodgers, arguably the finest singer in rock 'n ' roll and a huge songwriting talent. Formed in 1973, Bad Company came to life when Rodgers was looking to start anew after the disintegration of his legendary band Free. His powerhouse vocals and songwriting were a main ingredient during Free's impressive five-year run; a period of time that saw the release of seven extremely influential albums that featured Free's minimalist blues-rock approach. Included among Free's dynamic body of work is the 1970 smash, "All Right Now," one of the most recognizable rock anthems ever recorded. Lyrics and melody by Rodgers. He was Free’s main songwriter. Rodgers had met Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and after jamming together and listening to new songs that Ralphs had penned and songs that Rodgers had penned, Ralphs made the decision to leave Mott and form a new band with Rodgers. The duo recruited former King Crimson bassist/vocalist Boz Burrell, added drummer Simon Kirke and Rodgers Christened the band Bad Company. Rodgers’ brought in Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant and Bad Company became the first band signed to Zeppelin's Swan Song label. "I had to fight to get the management and the record company to accept the name Bad Company," explains Rodgers.
