NOTES OF THE NIGHT

Sean Couturier enters the game on a two-game assist streak. Couturier has picked up at least one point in 25 of the 36 games he’s appeared in this season. His campaign has included three scoring streaks of five games or longer – two five-game runs (3-7 to 3-15, 6A; 3-23 to 3-31, 4G 4A) and one eight-game streak (2-7 to 3-4, 6-6-12).

James van Riemsdyk leads the Flyers in scoring with 16 goals and 21 assists for 31 points. He has nine power play goals on the season, two of which were scored Thursday in New York; those nine PPG tie him for eighth in the league with four other players.

Joel Farabee is second on the roster with 15 goals and has also added 16 assists for 31 points. His 0.33 goals per game is the highest for a Flyer under the age of 22 since Simon Gagne had a 0.42 goals-per-game pace with 33 tallies in the 2001-02 season. Farabee’s 23 career NHL goals rank him third among his 2018 draft class, behind only Brady Tkachuk and Andrei Svechnikov. His 52 career points currently rank him seventh in the class.
