Vetting of Statutes of Various State and Private Universities a Legal Vetting ofStatutes of Various State and Private Universities A Legal Committee, as per the guidance of Hon. Principal Secretary (H&TE) has been formed at Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat, Ahmedabad. Prof. A. U. Patel is the chairman of the committee and Prof. M. R. Upadhyaya (Former Principal, Government Law College) is the convener of the Committee, and comprises of other eminent legal experts and educationalists. The main role of the Committee is vetting of Statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations of various State and Private Universities of Gujarat State. Till date, Committee has completed vetting of Statutes of following Universities and submitted the report to Education Department. Ordinance of Rai University The Committee has also formed draft of the following University Acts: 1. Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh 2. Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra 3. Tribal University Recently the Committee has submitted the draft Regulations under Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 which was reviewed by Hon. Principal Secretary (H&TE). Started in 2016, Ingenium offers students the opportunity to showcase their technical skills and innovative bent of mind. It is a platform to test their calibre while maintaining a healthy and competitive spirit. Ingenium inculcates the core university values of Project Based Learning and Multidisciplinary approaches to real life problems. This year Ingenium promoted its events and sponsors in 58 leading technological institutes of India, receiving zealous participation from over 4800 students. Ingenium was organised during 15th-17th March 2019 with its precursor workshops commencing from January 2nd. The fest was conducted at the GICT Building, Central Campus, Ahmedabad University. Event-wise Participation Ingenium comprised of 26 technical and 3 non-technical events, receiving around 5500 registrations, 4870 attendees, with a unique footfall of 3600.
