Vetting ofStatutes of Various State and Private Universities A Legal Committee, as per the guidance of Hon. Principal Secretary (H&TE) has been formed at Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat, Ahmedabad. Prof. A. U. Patel is the chairman of the committee and Prof. M. R. Upadhyaya (Former Principal, Government Law College) is the convener of the Committee, and comprises of other eminent legal experts and educationalists. The main role of the Committee is vetting of Statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations of various State and Private Universities of Gujarat State. Till date, Committee has completed vetting of Statutes of following Universities and submitted the report to Education Department. The department has done the further process of approving the same. 1. Statutes of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat Univerity 2. Statutes of Bhavnagar University 3. Statutes of Saurashtra University 4. Statutes of M. S. University 5. Statutes of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University 6. Statutes of ITM Vocational University 7. Statutes of Parul University 8. Statutes of Children' University 9. Statutes of Calorx Teachers University 10. Statutes of GLS University 11. Statutes of CHARUSAT University 12. Statutes of Ahmedabad University 13. Statutes of C U Shah University 14. Statutes of Indian Institute of Teacher's Education 15. Statutes of G.S.F.C University 16. Statutes of Plast India University 17. Statutes of Anant National University 18. Statutes ofShri Lakulish Yoga University 19. Statutes of Shri Govind Guru University 20. Statutes of Indrashil University 21. Statutes of Karnavati University 22. Ordinance of Rai University The Committee has also formed draft of the following University Acts: 1. Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh 2. Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra 3. Tribal University Recently the Committee has submitted the draft Regulations under Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 which was reviewed by Hon. Principal Secretary (H&TE).
