NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE CORPORATE OVERVIEW Norwegian Cruise Line is the innovator in cruise travel with a 44-year history of breaking the boundaries of traditional cruising, most notably with the introduction of Freestyle Cruising which has revolutionized the industry by allowing guests more freedom and flexibility. Today, Norwegian has 11 purpose-built Freestyle Cruising ships providing guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed cruise vacation on some of the newest and most contemporary ships at sea. In 2010, the Company reached an agreement with MEYER WERFT GMBH of Germany to build two new next generation Freestyle Cruising ships for delivery in spring 2013 and spring 2014, respectively. Each of the 143,500 gross ton vessels, the largest passenger/cruise ships to be built in Germany, will have approximately 4,000 passenger berths and a rich cabin mix. In February 2000, Norwegian was acquired by Genting Hong Kong Limited formerly Star Cruises Ltd (SES: STRC), a Hong Kong stock exchange listed company, and part of Malaysia's Genting Group. Following the acquisition of Norwegian, Star Cruises became the third largest cruise line in the world. While under 100 percent ownership by Star, the company embarked on an expansion program that involved new ships, on-board product enhancements and innovative itineraries. In August 2007, private equity group, Apollo Management, LP, agreed to make a $1 billion cash equity investment in Norwegian. Under the terms of the investment which closed on January 7, 2008, Apollo became a 50 percent owner of Norwegian and has named a majority of the company’s board with certain consent rights retained by Genting.

Culinary Artists Showcase Their Talents in Carnival Corp. & Plc’s Cake Contest Commemorating Company’s 100th Cruise Ship May 12, 2011 Team from Holland America Line’s Rotterdam Earns Top Honors for Highly Elaborate Culinary Creation, Wins $10,000 Toward Crew Celebration MIAMI (May 12, 2011) – In a unique competition that showcased the incredible talents of its culinary artists, Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) invited pastry chefs from across its 10 worldwide brands to create custom-designed cakes to commemorate the historic launch of the company’s 100th cruise ship, Carnival Magic. The chefs certainly were up to the task, creating dozens of highly imaginative confections in recognition of this unprecedented cruise industry achievement. In the end, the team from Holland America Line’s Rotterdam was deemed the winner for their elaborate series of 10 cruise ship-shaped cakes, each representing a different Carnival Corporation & plc brand, along with a three-tiered cake that paid homage to Holland America’s role in the 100th ship achievement. For their efforts, the Rotterdam team earned the grand prize of $10,000 to be used for a fun-filled crew celebration. The Rotterdam’s winning entry, along with a sampling of the honorable mention entries submitted by the company’s cruise brands, can be viewed here. “Deciding the grand prize winner was extremely difficult given the quality and creativity of the entries,” said Micky Arison, Carnival Corporation & plc chairman and CEO. “I would like to thank all of the chefs from across our brands for their fantastic efforts and personally congratulate the team from the Rotterdam for their incredible culinary artistry in celebrating our 100th ship.” Carnival Magic made history last month when she debuted in Europe, becoming the 100th vessel of Carnival Corporation & plc, whose origins began with the launch of the company’s first ship, Carnival Cruise Lines’ TSS Mardi Gras, in 1972.

Keel-Laying Ceremony Held for Mardi Gras Set to Debut in Europe in August 2020 June 18, 2019 In keeping with maritime tradition, a keel-laying ceremony was held today at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, for Carnival Cruise Line's Mardi Gras, which is scheduled to enter service in August 2020. The ceremony, which dates back hundreds of years, was highlighted by the placement of coins placed on top of a 750-ton keel block called 3C signifying good luck for the ship and the official start of construction. Carnival's Senior Vice President of Newbuilds Ben Clement and Mardi Gras Captain Giuseppe Giusa, Chief Engineer Ferdinando Ruocco and Hotel Director Pierre Camilleri joined Meyer Turku CEO Jan Meyer at the festivities. Mardi Gras will be a stunning expression of the Carnival vacation experience offering a variety of groundbreaking innovations, including BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea; the first seagoing restaurant by legendary chef Emeril Lagasse; and six themed zones with a wide range of culinary, beverage and activity choices. Mardi Gras will also be the first cruise ship in North America to be powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), part of Carnival Corporation's "green cruising" platform. "This is a historic day for Carnival – the official start of construction of the spectacular Mardi Gras which will usher in an exciting new chapter for our company and introduce so many guest-pleasing innovations," said Clement. "We have been very excited to design and now finally to start assembling Carnival Mardi Gras. All these different features onboard require a lot of engineering and design expertise which we have been happy to provide to our customer," CEO of Meyer Turku Jan Meyer states.
