PARTICIPATING MEMBERS: Registered members and escort from 21 to 41 years old from invited clubs.

OBJECTIVES: ONE Serve as a networking platform and strengthen ties between members of the participating clubs. TWO Promote Inter-club relationships across Europe on an institutional level. THREE Promote the history, tradition, values and heritage of our clubs and countries. FOUR Encourage the participation of club members of all ages and genders in future Inter-club activities. FIVE Encourage the participation and integration of young members in the Inter-club network. SIX Develop the Gold Alliance organization brand: a Pan-European organization with the aim of promoting the aforementioned objectives and events on a scheduled regular basis.

17:00 hrs. Genever tasting Taste the origin of the Gin, the Dutch Genever at Wynand Fockink a 1679 specialized distillery. Price: 45 € Approx. p.p. (+3% Stripe transaction fee)

In 1788 a reading company was founded in Amsterdam called Doctrina et Amicitia. The members were patriots, mostly from the Amsterdam merchants, judges, notaries and civil servants. As a political company, they should not hold meetings but as a readership they gathered regularly. Doctrina et Amicitia had a large library of 8000 titles, a large part of which has been preserved.

In 1872, the Societé de Groote Club was founded in the building, and in 1922, Doctrina et Amicitia merged with the Groote Club, after which the name Societeite De Groote Club Doctrina et Amicitia was used. The Groote Club builidng was designed by the architects Theodoor Gerard Schill and D.H. Haverkamp in 1912 on the corner of the Dam and the Kalverstraat. The ﬁrst original drawings were rejected by the Dam Council Committee, but in 1914 the building was apporved and completed.

During the Second World War the building was seized by the Germans. It was then sold to The Netherlands (National Netherlanden) in 1945 with the word promise that it could be bought back after the war. After the war, the Club was unable to buy the building, after which the Club rented the building until 1975, the year in which the Club merged with the Industrial Club, which was founded in 1913. Since this merger, the name The Industrial Groote Club is being used.
