RESTRAINT: 600 g/kg metsulfuron-methyl products: DO NOT spray if rainfall is expected within 2 hours of spraying. DO NOT store the prepared spray for more than 2 days.

Critical Use Comments:  Apply using helicopter or unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) mounted spot-spraying equipment only.  Pilot must hold a current pilot licence in NSW to apply pesticides by air, and comply with the requirements of Pesticide Order AIR-1, and be employed or engaged by the holder of an aircraft (pesticide applicator) licence.  UAV operators must also be licensed by the NSW Environment Protection Authority.  Use must be in accordance with Attachment 1.  Re-apply according to rate of weed growth and re-infestation.  Spray to thoroughly wet all foliage.  Minimise contact with native .  Unless otherwise specified, apply to actively growing weeds.

Best practice guidelines for aerial spraying of bitou bush in NSW (DEC 2006) are available to ensure that aerial spraying is undertaken in a manner that provides effective control with negligible damage to the environment. The guidelines include: 1. A checklist of activities 2. Supporting information to the checklist, and 3. Technical information (i.e. herbicides used, frequently asked questions and answers) and examples of signage and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Safety Work Method Statement (SWMS) and Incident Action Plan (IAP), as well as a list of useful web links.
