DEMANDS OF RESIDENT DOCTORS OF STATE GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS Dr: Ashwath Narayan. C.N (Malleshwaram)- 346 (4424) Will the Minister of State for Medical Education be pleased to state:- a) the demands of resident doctors of the State Government Medical College and Research Institutions; 2

b) whether it has come to the notice of the Government that these doctors are observing a Statewide strike by insisting to fulfill their demands;

c) whether it is true that hardship is caused to the patients without getting treatment on time due to doctor’s strike; the reasons for not making proper alternative arrangements by the Government for the treatment of patients in the interest of them;

d) whether the demands of resident doctors have been fulfilled; the stand of the Government to fulfill their demands?

MAINTENANCE OF GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS

Smt. Jolle Shashikala Annasaheb ()-

347 (4708) Will the Minister for Health and Family Welfare be pleased to state:-

a) the number of Government hospitals/sub- centers in Nippani constituency; the names of villages where these hospitals/sub-centers are functioning ; the names of villages covered under the jurisdiction of these hospitals; out of which, the number of 24/7 hospitals; the number of various posts/staff which are sanctioned, working and shortage in these hospitals;

b) the criteria for 24/7 hospitals; whether it has come to the notice of the Government that Akkola, Karadaga, Soundalaga, Bedakihala, Galathaga, hospitals are not functioning in evening, night hours and holidays eventhough these hospitals are coming under 24/7 service; the alternative arrangements made by the department to meet the problem being faced by the public on account of this; 3

c) whether the Government has evolved any plan to upgrade the hospitals in the limits of Nippani Assembly constituency; if so, the names of hospitals that would be upgraded;

d) whether the Government is intended to upgrade the “Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital”, Nipanni which is adjacent to the National Highway-4 as a 100 bedded hospital in the interest of the public by taking into consideration the accidents which are being occurred frequently on National Highway-4; if so, when it would be upgraded;

e) since Soundalaga, Karadaga and Benadi hospitals are become old, whether any proposals have been submitted for the construction of hospital building?

APPOINTMENT OF STAFF IN HOSPITALS

Sri Yashvantarayagouda Vittalgouda Patil (Indi)-

a) the number of General hospitals, primary health centers, health units, community health centers coming under the limits of Indi taluk, Vijayapura district;(name of them)

b) the total number of posts of doctors, medical officer and other staff sanctioned to the said hospitals; the number of staff who are working at present; (hospitalwise details be furnished)

c) whether it has come to the notice of the Government that the poor, dalits, backward, old age persons and children are used to go to distant cities like Vijayapura and Solapur of Maharashtra for treatment due to non availability of doctors in these hospitals; 4

d) if so, the measures taken by the Government to fill up the vacant posts?

ESTABLISHMENT OF PURE DRINKING WATER UNITS IN BUS STAND Sri Somashekar. S.T (Yeshwanthpur)- 349 (4430) Will the Minister for Transport be pleased to state:- a) whether the arrangement for pure drinking water has been made for the convenience of public in Bus stands of Bengaluru City; b) whether there is any proposal before the Government to establish the pure drinking water units in Bus stands; c) whether the Government would take action to give permission to the private organisations for establishment of pure drinking water units if they have submitted proposal in this regard?

SANCTION OF HOSTELS Sri Meti Hullappa Yamanappa (Bagalkot)- 350 (3764) Will the Minister for Social Welfare and Backward Classes Welfare be pleased to state:- a) whether the hostels are there in proportion to strength of students increasing due to awareness of education in the State; b) if so, the measures taken by the Government to enhance the hostels in proportion to strength of students; c) if so, the number of proposals received for sanction of hostels in Bagalkot Assembly Constituency during the current year; d) the estimated expenditure to be incurred for the same; when it would be sanctioned? 5

RELEASE OF GRANT FOR VARIOUS SCHEMES

MEASURES TAKEN BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT FOR REDRESSAL OF REGIONAL IMBALANCE

Sri Basavaraj S. Bommai (Shiggaon)-

352 (4075) Will the Minister for Planning and Statistics, IT & BT and Science and Technology be pleased to state:-

a) the measures taken by the State Government for redressal of regional imbalance; whether it has come to the notice of the Government that the Government has shown negligence in this regard;

b) whether the Government is conducting a proper review to achieve the target rapidly in support of Hyderabad Karnataka development in this regard; pros and cons thereof be furnished;

c) whether it is found that there is a lack of co-ordination between Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Finance Department and Hyderabad Karnataka Area Development Board ; the reasons therefor; 6

d) the hurdles of the Government to respond properly for the Development of Hyderabad Karnataka region by resolving this kind of small technical problems ; (complete report on measures taken by the Government since 2 years be furnished)

e) the actions taken against the concerned officers of the department who shows negligence in implementation?

b) if so, whether a proposal of constructing a cultural Bhavan and open air theatre during the current year in the limits of Sidlaghatta Assembly Constituency is before the Government;

c) if so, when and where the construction would be made?

GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS IN THE STATE

a) whether the district Government hospitals in all the district including new districts in the State have been well equipped for the service of public health in full scale;

c) whether surgeons, medical specialist, anesthesiologist and other medical staff have been appointed in full pledged manner as per their cadre strength in the said hospitals; and the measures taken for filling up the vacant posts?

ILLEGAL STORAGE OF PULSES

a) the action taken so for against the various traders who are responsible for increase of pulse prices by holding the storage of pulses illegally ; (details be given)

b) the sources by which the Government has gathered the information on illegal storage of pulses; the number of places where the raid has been conducted so far;

c) the total quantum of pulses seized by the Government; what is the benefit of this seizure ; (details be given) 8

d) whether the raid would be conducted in future days also; (details be given)

e) whether the quantum of pulses seized by the Government through raids is on par with the expectation of the Government; the quantum of pulses which the Government was expected to seize;

f) what action has been take after seizing the pulses from traders; whether the price of pulses is decreased due to this action?
