MARKET OUTLOOK- CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC

Quantitative: Bulls remained in control of D-Street with benchmark indices rallying over 1 percent each during the week ended August 7, but the real action was seen in the small & midcap space.The S&P BSE Small-cap index rallied nearly 5 percent while the S&P BSE Mid-cap index closed with gains of over 3 percent for the week ended August 7.As many as 174 stocks on the BSE500 index rose 10-40 percent in just 5 trading sessions. These include Jyothy Labs, Jaiprakash Associates, Alok Industries, Subex, Birlasoft, Jindal Poly, Uflex, Caplin Point, Aarti Drugs, and Vishnu Chemicals. For the upcoming sessions we expect some profit booking in our spot index however 10550-600 could be the crucial support zone. On the flip side current sentiments may carry this euphoria around 11380-400 where we might see some reversal.
