  • 2017 NRL WA Round 9 Senior News 16.06.17
NRL WA Blood Rivals Round Edition 9- 16/06/17 to 18/06/17 OFF THE FENCE PREVIEW - Fremantle Roosters v Rockingham Sharks - Kick Off 3.30pm In this week’s NRL WA Blood Rivals Round ‘Big Game of the Round’ the Fremantle Roosters will travel down to Franklin Offshore, and look to continue their good form of late. They are coming up against a rejuvenated Sharks team, who will look to get revenge after going down to the Roosters earlier this season. The Sharks have mixed youth and experience well so far this season, with West Coast Pirates SG Ball players Joshua Bransby and Tyler Hunt making the step up to the level of the Smarter than Smoking Premiership. On the other hand, the Roosters will look towards their ever-present Captain, Delane Edwards to pull the strings and guide his side to victory. South Perth Lions v North Beach Sea Eagles - Kick Off 3.30pm The Lions will welcome the Sea Eagles to George Burnett in their Round 9 clash. Indifferent form of late for both teams means that this game could throw up anything. The Lions have been in all of their games this season, but are yet to put together a full 80 minutes. Coach Justin ‘Barney’ Nixon will look towards Samuel Scari and Hugh Mackey to enforce the middle battle, which will be a tough ask against the Beach Boys. For North Beach, Gershom Adams and Ben Taylor will be integral to their team’s chances, and if both play a big game on the weekend, they will be hard to beat.
