ne big project of the University Library for Academic Year 2012- 2013 is the Book Fair. It was NrealizedO with the theme “The Green Spine: the Power of Books in the Digital Environment,” from June 19-21 at the Yuchengco Lobby. Primarily, the fair aims to promote culture of reading for better education and self-empowerment by bringing books closer to the DLSU community. Moreover, it was organized to support the “Turn One into a Million” book drive project, also spearheaded by the Library.

Text TOM (Technician on the Move), yet another venture of the Library, held a soft launch at the fair’s opening ceremony. NCAA’s National Heritage celebration in Romblon

Philippine Heritage Month is celebrated every month of May by virtue of Proclamation No. 439 signed on August 11, 2003, “to create among the people a consciousness, respect and pride for the legacies of Filipino cultural history and love of country.” The celebration is organized by the government’s National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

For the year 2012, the Province of Romblon, also known as the country’s leading producer of quality marble and home to many heritage sites, was chosen as the venue and host to the national heritage celebration.
