Eastplain’s Summer Reading Activities: – Fifth Grade 2019 Summer

Dear Incoming Kindergarten and Families,

School will be starting before you know it and we are so excited to share all of our amazing books with you! In Plainedge, our goal is to make every a lifelong reader and learner. Take time this summer to cuddle up with a family member and start reading some incredible stories! Studies show that children love to hear the sounds of language even before they even notice the words on the page. We invite you to look at the pictures together, hear the beautiful story language, and escape to some fun places that are hiding in your books!

Here is a list of some of our favorite books. We are so excited to hear which ones you love too! Please select a book of your choice and draw a picture of your favorite part. We can’t wait to see all of your pictures on the first day of school!
