    TV Channel Distribution in Europe: Table of Contents This report covers 238 international channels/networks across 152 major operators in 34 EMEA countries. From the total, 67 channels (28%) transmit in high definition (HD). The report shows the reader which international channels are carried by which operator – and which tier or package the channel appears on. Harghita și Tulcea, jud. Tulcea, aparţinând S.C. UPC ROMÂNIA S.R.L. Distribuitorul de servicii S.C. UPC ROMÂNIA S.R.L. deţine următoarele avize de retransmisie: - nr. A 5776/21.02.2008 pentru localitatea Ocland, jud. Harghita; - nr. A 5781/21.02.2008 pentru localitatea Ocna de Jos, jud. Harghita; - nr. A 5801/22.07.2019 pentru localitatea Tulcea, jud. Tulcea. În urma analizării situației sintetizate prezentate de Serviciul Inspecție, membrii Consiliului au constatat că distribuitorul de servicii S.C. UPC ROMÂNIA S.R.L. a încălcat prevederile articolelor 74 alin. (3) și 82 alin. (2) din Legea audiovizualului nr. 504/2002, cu modificările şi completările ulterioare. Potrivit dispozițiilor invocate: Art. 74 alin. (3): Distribuitorii de servicii pot modifica structura ofertei de servicii de programe retransmise numai cu acordul Consiliului. Art. 82 alin. (2): Distribuitorii care retransmit servicii de programe au obligaţia, la nivel regional şi local, să includă în oferta lor cel puţin două programe regionale şi două programe locale, acolo unde acestea există; criteriul de departajare va fi ordinea descrescătoare a audienţei.

DTH sunt ini-ialele de la Direct To Home, un sistem care permite transmiterea mai multor programe de televiziune într-un pachet, programe ce pot fi recep-ionate cu ajutorul unei instala-ii digitale, direct de pe satelit, practic în orice punct situat în aria de acoperire a satelitului (aİa numitul ‚footprint“). Sistemul presupune recep-ia programelor doar de pe un singur satelit, dupa ce acestea au fost ‚adunate“ de pe to-i sateli-ii pe care emit acestea İi ‚grupate“ într- un ‚pachet“. Pentru România acest sistem de televiziune este unul relativ nou, aflat în dezvoltare exploziv, iar lucrarea de fa- se vrea o radiografie a situa-iei existente la momentul actual. 1. Introduction Nowadays, Romania presents 3 providers that offers digital televison, special romanian or translated into romanian language; there are also hungarian programs or programs translated into hungarian. This three providers are: Digi TV, Focus TV and Max TV. Momentarily it is under testing for the fourth operator, QTV, scheduled to emit starting april 2006. In brief, the history of Romanian DTH is poled by the following events: ? December 21, 2004 œ the first DTH operator is launched; ? January 29, 2005 - the first pre-payed pack, HBO, is launched; ?
