Outpatient Consultation: OPD Consultation charges shall follow the following Bands: Bands Slab (Rs.) Speciality Consultants 700 Super Speciality Consultants 900 2. Registration Charges a) Rs. 150 per registration to be charged from all patients coming to Manipal Hospital for the first time. b) One follow-up visit for OPD is free within 3 days and One Post-op discharge visit is free within 7 days. 3. Admission & Documentation Charges One time admission charges of Rs 1000 to be charged for every IP admissions except Daycare and New Borns. In case TPA patient, Documentation charges ofRs500 be extra for filing and applicable for all admission except Day Care and New Borns. 4. MLC Charges In MLC cases an additional charges of Rs. 1,000 shall be levied to cover extra cost incurred by hospitals. This shall only be applicable for MLC cases where patient gets admitted to our hospital and also applicable for Outside registered MLC cases. This shall not be applicable for cases where there is direct discharge from Triage/ER 5. Triage Policy c) Triage/ER be charges will be charged @ Rs. 500 per hour however first 3 hour of stay shall not be charged. d) Triple Room Bed Tariff will be applicable for mapping all other services including the consultant visit, investigations, procedures etc. e) If the patient gets admitted as inpatient from emergency, Triage bed charges and EMO Consultation will not be levied and Charges in such cases will be levied based on the selected room category f) During day time (8am to 8 pm), Consultation by specialists and super specialists will be charged as per OPD rates. 6. Emergency Visit a) Night Emergency Timings are from 8:00PM to 8:00AM. b) Emergency Consultant Charges (Full Day) will be charged at Rs. 750. c) During Night,Specialists OR Super specialist Consultation will be charged at twice the day time charges. d) If the Specialist Doctor is present in theOPD during non emergency hours, no extra charge for Emergency reference except for normal tariff will be levied. 7. Day Care Policy a) Day Care room charges will be Rs 3000 b) Consultant Visit Charges, Surgeon fee, Procedure fee and other charges will be charged as per Triple Room bed category. c) In case of Day Care surgical procedures, Primary Surgeon shall charge consultation for one visit only. 8. Billing Cycle a) Billing cycle will start from the time of admission and is from 12 noon to 12 noon. Therefore, 12 noon is the checkout time for discharge. Room Policy a) Room tariff includes standard fittings in the room according to the type of Occupancy / Laundry Services / Food & Beverage for Patients only / House-keeping services. b) Any additional Food & Beverage for anybody other than Patient will be charged as per our cafeteria tariff. Any additional Food & Beverage for Patient will be charged extra as per the cafeteria tariff. c) If the Patient’s Attendant retains the room while the Patient is in HDU/ICU/NICU/PICU additional charges for the Room and Food & Beverage would be levied. In such cases Room would be provided subject to availability. d) ICU bed tariff includes Room rent, RMO charges, Nursing Charges,Infusion/ Syringe Pump , Oxygen, Pulse Oxymeter and Cardiac Monitoring. ICU bed tariff does not include Specialty Doctors Visit, Intensivist Charges, Ventilator / Bipap(Initiation or Maintenance Charges), DVT Pump , Alpha Bed , any special monitoring/ equipment, Investigations, Procedures, Consumables and Medicines. e) Single Room Tariff will be applicable for mapping of all the charges like procedures, surgeries, investigations etc with ICU Bed category. f) If a new born baby with mother is admitted, the charges levied for the mother shall be applicable in the baby’s case New born baby shall be charged as per the bed category of mother for all the services rendered. 10. IP Consultation Policy a) In IPD, the admitting doctor (Primary Consultant) will be entitled to maximum of two IP visits per day. Doctor charges are twice a day either by doctor / unit / team. b) IP Night Visit Charges (8pm to 8 am) are applicable as per bed category where consultants come in night and admission takes place which is twice the normal rates. c) In ICU/CCU/CTICU/HDU, One visit will be charged by respective critical care unit (Intensivist) and one visit will be charged by admitting consultant. d) Paediatrician consult for new born will be charged as per mother’s category. e) In case of surgery, up to first 24 hrs of surgery, no IPD consult of primary surgeon or unit will be charged to patient. Thereafter, they may be charged up to two visits per day. f) Dietician Charges as per Bed Category will be applicable once during patient stay in the hospital and shall be ordered at the beginning. It shall be charged from Inpatient admissions excluding Day Care, NICU and other patients where this service is not availed. 11. Surgery / Anesthesia Charges Description % of Surgeon fee OT/Cath Lab Charges 110% Anesthesia Charges 25% Minor OT Charges (Ground Floor) 2500 per sitting b) Standby Charges for Anesthetist will be charged at 20% of the Professional Fee for all surgeries and procedures, wherever applicable. c) If standby Anesthetist is required during MRI/CT Rs 1000 shall be levied and shall be charged over and above the respective procedure charges. 12. Policy Related to Surgery a) In case of multiple surgeries, the surgery with the higher surgeon fee will be considered as Primary surgery and all other charge related calculations will be based on this Primary Surgery. b) If the same surgeon performs more than one procedure in the same sitting, on the same area of body and is related, then the surgery costing the higher shall be billed as 100% followed by the Surgeries costing lesser at 50 % each. If the surgeries are carried out on different body parts and is unrelated by the same/different surgeons then the both the surgeries will be charged full as per the schedule. However Prior approval from DMS would be required for charging second surgery. 3 c) In case a surgeon requires the presence of another surgeon – Co opted surgeon (This does not mean an assistant surgeon and is a surgeon of different department whose services are sought for surgery) may be levied. However, in special cases and with concurrence of DMS, additionally for routine cases 25% of the surgical fee and for emergency 50% of the surgical fee will be charged. Patients in such cases should be informed beforehand about this additional charge during surgery. d) If two or more surgeons perform two or more different surgeries / procedures, they shall be entitled to their individual full surgeon’s fee for their respective procedures. The Procedure charges shall be levied for each procedure. 13. Redo / Re exploration Policy a) For Redo/ Reexploration Surgery within 24 hrs, only consumables shall be charged (no extra cost for Surgeon Fee, OT or Anaesthesia) with prior approval from DMS. b) For Redo/ Re-explorationSurgery after 24 hrs, 100% of surgeon fee. However, OT charges, Anaesthesia fee shall be charges as per the tariff. consumables & pharmacy will be charged as per actuals. 14. Change of Category of Bed a) In case a patient is transferred from a lower to a higher category of room after the surgery / procedure, all the charges including surgery / procedure/ investigations will be charged according to the higher bed category however the bed charges and the doctors visit charges would be as per the higher room category from the day of transfer. b) In case the patient is transferred from higher to lower category of room after the surgery / procedure, all thecharges including surgery / procedure / investigations and other particulars till the time of transfer will be charged according to the original / higher room category however the bed charges and the doctor’s visit charge would be as per the opted/ lower bed category from the day & time of transfer.
