Under the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (18 6C) the Council, through the Director, assumed duties formerly held by various NHS bodies, primarily those of Health improvement and Health protection. Page | 1 Appendix 1 outlines the local and district wide performance data and outcomes. This shows that there are a range of health and wellbeing issues and needs for people living in Bradford South. Supporting partnership working between voluntary and community sector organisations (VCS); the public sector (the Council and National Health Service -NHS organisations) and communities themselves can open up opportunities to make significant changes to improve wgellbeing amongst Bradford South residents. 2.     Our ref: 2387/21 Figures for incidents of drink spiking in your region over the last 5 years (year by year) I would appreciate it if the figures can be broken down to the nearest city/town. Can you also tell me the number of prosecutions there have been for the above offences and how many of those resulted in a conviction? Please see the attached document. West Yorkshire Police receive reports of crimes that have occurred following a victim having their drink spiked, crimes such as rape, sexual assault, violence with or without injury and theft. West Yorkshire Police take all offences seriously and will ensure that all reports are investigated. Specifically for victims of rape and serious sexual offences, depending on when the offence occurred, they would be offered an examination at our Sexual Assault Referral Centre, where forensic samples, including a blood sample for toxicology can be taken, with the victim’s consent, if within the timeframes and guidance from the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine. West Yorkshire Police work with support agencies to ensure that all victims of crime are offered support through the criminal justice process, including specialist support such as from Independent Sexual Violence Advisors. Wherever practicable, post codes are given for each place listed in this Guide, to make them easier easier to find by satnav and other electronic mapping devices, and a sketch map showing approximate locations is included in the central pages (14-15). Rail: If travelling from outside Baildon, the railway service is quick and regular. Baildon, Saltaire and Shipley stations are closest to different parts of the town. Trains and stations are operated by Northern Rail in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Metro). Baildon Station has trains direct to and from Ilkley and Bradford Forster Square. Changing at Shipley provides links to Skipton and Leeds. Baildon Village Centre is a fifteen-minute uphill walk. Shipley Station has trains to and from Ilkley, Leeds, Skipton and Bradford Forster Square. It is a ten-minute walk into Lower Baildon, or short bus ride from nearby Shipley Market Square. Saltaire Station has trains from Skipton, Leeds and Bradford Forster Square. Changing at Shipley provides links to Ilkley. The Coach Road area is a five-minute walk. BACKGROUND 2.1. The capital highway maintenance element of the Local Transport Plan for Bradford in 2016/17 was £4,951,000. This covered all classification of road including A, B, C Classified and Non-Classified. For information purposes, Appendix 1 summarises the road resurfacing / micro asphalt schemes completed in Bradford South during the 2016/17 financial year. 2.2. The capital highway maintenance element of the Local Transport Plan for all classification of road for Bradford in 2017/18 is £4,951,000. 2.3. It is essential that local highway maintenance continues to be prioritised, reflecting the economic and social importance to communities and the need to safeguard the largest single local public asset.
