The phone number is (928) 523- 6792 while the fax number is 523-6793. MEDIA OPPORTUNITY Head coach Eric is available upon request through the athletic communications office. Individual players may be requested through the athletic communications office also. Special requests for availability may be made to the athletics communications office. INTERVIEW POLICY All player interviews must be coordinated through the athletics communications office at least one day in advance. No inter- views or photo shoots will be conducted without prior clearance. Out-of-town media should contact the athletics communications office to make arrangements for phone interviews. Players are also available for interviews after practice, and, if prior arrangements have been made, before practice. The NAU locker room and training rooms are closed. Heins’ INTERVIEWS Eric Heins and his staff are generally available for interviews upon request. Contact Durant Harvin in the athletics communica- tions office to coordinate all interviews with head coach Eric Heins. Credentials may be requested for the season or on a per-meet basis. The ambassadors test SILVA’s products in the toughest of conditions and are an invaluable resource in the product development process. SILVA has recently added two new athletes to their team of ambassadors, the top runners Ida Nilsson and Mimmi Kotka, both from Sweden. SILVA ambassadors are the perfect mix of runners, orienteers, adventurers, skiers and multi-athletes, such as: skyrunner and ski-mountaineer Emelie Forsberg, ultra-trail runner Francois D’haene, elite orienteer Tove Alexandersson, adventure racing-team Team Haglöfs SILVA and the Norwegian cross-country skiing team. New addition to the team of ambassadors are Ida Nilsson, Swedish ultra-trail runner and the recent winner of the classic skyrunning competition Zegama- Aizkorri. “I'm very excited to start working with SILVA since I like their products and it's a Swedish brand. Under åren 2009-2015 utkom en statistiksamling årligen. Eftersom ingen statistiksamling utgavs 2016-2018 kommer nu en uppdatering som täcker åren 2015-2018. Intresset för ultramaratonlöpning i Sverige fortsätter att öka även om den explosionsartade utvecklingen 2007-2014 har mattats (se figur nedan). Under 2018 arrangerades 64 ultramaratonlopp i Sverige, fler än någonsin, och 7619 löpare fullföljde ett ultramaratonlopp, även det fler än någonsin.     Ultrarunning World ROAD, TRACK & TRAIL MULTIDAY & ULTRA DISTANCE NEWS ISSUE 10 www.laultra.in Ultrarunning World | No.10 | February 2018 Q & A With Sarah Editorial Sawyer There’s a strong female presence in the number of race reports and on the covers this month, reflecting growing numbers of women taking part in ultras and multidays in many parts of the world. And who are also happy to share their thoughts and experiences. The range of reports is also quite encouraging with only two 32 coming from England (if we include Wales as a foreign country) and the rest scattered around the world. The UK & Ireland ultra calendar hasn’t been updated yet in Everest Trail time for this issue but the multiday calendar has and features over 400 events and that doesn’t include most 100 milers; there Race are over 130 such events in the US alone. The IAU has given their permission to summarize the news from their website - that’s very kind of them. Coordinating these large scale international events and maintaining the high standards the sport adheres to, means a lot of work goes on behind the scenes and if anyone is interested in helping the IAU, there are elections in the not too distant future. 13 There have been over 1500 views of issue 9 so far which is double what issue 8 had and that is very encouraging. Most of the content in this issue is again, already published on authors’ blogs but there is some original content and I hope that more people will submit relevant material as the momentum grows.
