COMMENDING THE CITY OF ALAMINOS AND THE MUNICIPALITIES OF AGNO, ANDA, , MABINI, , . LAOAC, NATIVIDAD AND SAN NICOLAS FOR HAVING BEEN DECLARED AS DRIIG.FRf,E TOWNS AND CITY IN THE PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN

WEEREAS, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), with the assistance of a provincial and regional oversight committee composed of the Department of the lnterior and Local Government (DILG), the Depsrtment of Health (DOH) and other agencies, was tasked to offrcially validate the reports and recommendations of Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) in considering towns and cities as drug free communities;

WHEREAS, after declaring the Municipality of Sto. Tomas to be the first drug-free town in the Province, the PPPO vowed to continue with its commitment to see to it that its target that all the 44 towns and 3 cities in Pangasinan would soon be declared drug unaffected;

WEERDAS, therefrom, upon recommendation of the PPPO, the Municipalities of Agno, Anda, Laoac, Dasol, San Nicolas, Mapandan, Natividad and the City of Alaminos were also validated and were declared drug-free LGUs;

WHEREAS, recently, PDEA declared the towns of Mabini as the l0s and Malasiqui as the t2s drug-free municipalities after a thorough validation by its provincial and regional oversight committee;

WHER"EAS, the unprecedented achievements of the mentioned Municipalities and City in implementing the projects among local government unirs into a drug-free community, deserve the highest commendation from the entire officialdom of the Province ofPangasinan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SP Members Napoleon C. Fontelera, Jr., Antonio F. Sison, Angel M. Baniqued, Jr., Generoso D. Tulagan, Jr., Rosary Cracia P. Perez-Tababa, Clemente B. Arbolcda, Jr., Salvador S. Perez, Jr. and Noel C. Bince, and co-authored by all the other Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, duly seconded, it was -

RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in session assembled to commend, as they are hereby commended, the City of Alaminos and the Municipalities of Agno, And4 Dasol, Mabini, Malasiqui, Mapandan, Laoac, Natividad and San Nicolas for having been declared as drug-free towns and city in the Province of Pangasinan;

RESOLVED FINALLY, to fumish copies of this resolution to Police Senior Superintendent Ronald O. Lee, Provincial Director, Philippine National Police, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, Lingayen, Pangasinan; and the Chiefs of Police and Honorable Mayors of the subject Municipalities and City of Pangasinan. for their information.
