Anabstani Assistant Professor of Geography and Urban Planning, University of Ferdosi Mashhad, Iran, Abstract Development of human settlements, especially rural settlements has been largely dependent on ecological factors like suitable soil and water. Sabzevar region, enjoying all of these facilities, has Langley been a major human population center in eastern Iran. The study results show that, there is a Significant relationship between ecological factors like situation, water and farming lands and population changes as an index of rural population stability in 1966-2006, the Correlation between village Situation and annual growth rate was 0.216. Shrimp Culture Impact on the Surface and Ground Water of Bangladesh

[email protected] Abstract A case study was carried out to see the impacts of shrimp culture on the surface (pond) and ground water (tube-well) quality in three coastal sub-districts of Bagherhat Sadar, Rampal and Morrelganj of Bangladesh. The people of Rampal (100%), Morrelgonj (87.5%) and Bagherhat (75.5%) expressed that salinity of both surface and ground water increased for shrimp culture, and water becomes more turbid, odorous and less tasty compare to pre-shrimp culture scenario. The ground water pH was found to little acidic (6.07– 6.71) but the surface water was mild alkaline in nature (7.00–7.46). Ground water was more saline (1893.12–2673.33 ppm) than surface water (513.31-2253.33 ppm). Potassium level of surface water was very high (97.75-242.42 ppm) compare to ground water (11.73- 27.37 ppm), which exceeds the WHO Guideline Value (10 ppm) and Bangladesh Standard for Drinking Water (12.0 ppm). The pollution level of phosphorous and iron was found to little higher but other pollutants like nitrate, boron and zinc was found to very low in surface and ground water in the shrimp culture area of Bangladesh. -

Received; 2019/04/14 revise; 2019/04/22 accepted; 2019/05/17 available online; 2019/06/22 Abstract Kamoo village in the central plateau of Iran is recognized as an ancient village in Iran and has an inseparable connection to natural elements. Its identity is related to its natural elements such as the Karkas Mountain, river, and topography of the region. The Kamoo River, as the main component of a natural landscape of the village, plays a vital role in the village genesis. Employing a library research method and field observations, this study deals with the position and importance of the river in the formation of Kamoo Village. The results show that the main river of Kamoo village, as an important natural element, follows a hierarchical order based on social power and dignity of its inhabitants. In addition, it follows aesthetic, ecological, physical, and economic hierarchies. This hierarchical order, namely a social hierarchy, has a significant role in the village development and structure. In addition to a social hierarchy, economic and physical hierarchies relevant to the main river are essential as well. -

International Journal of Scientific & Engineering Research Volume 8, Issue 6, June-2017 657 ISSN 2229-5518 Comprehensive Urban Mobility as a Necessity in Sabzevar City, Iran Ehsan Amini, B.Shankar Abstract— Urbanization in Sabzevar City has increased dramatically during the past two decades. Mobility is undergoing change. Urban mobility is one of the toughest challenges that Sabzevar faces today as existing mobility systems are close to breakdown. It is required to establish new philosophies and innovative mobility concepts in order to ensure a cleaner and healthier Sabzevar. This paper explores ways to contribute and solve understanding of attitudes and conduct of urban residents in relation to daily travel, and to use this awareness to assess the potential for behavioural change and to identify more targeted policy interventions through a Mobility Plan by focusing on mobility attitudes and behaviour in the context of new and emerging urban transport opportunities. Jafari 5 ABSTRACT An outbreak of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) in Sabzevar county prompted this study of the epidemiology and the ecology of vectors and reservoirs. Examination of 541 schoolchildren showed rates of 9.4% for scars and 5.9% for ulcers. Among 807 inhabitants of 4 villages, 10.4% had scars and 3.0% had active lesions. The most highly infected age group was 0–4 years with a rate of 5.9%. A total of 12 849 sandflies representing 7 species were collected in the study area. Leptomonad infection was found in Phlebotomus papatasi, P. caucasicus and Sergentomyia sintoni. Parasites from man, P. papatasi and Rhom- bomys opimus, were isolated and characterized as Leishmania major. Based on this survey, this is an epidemic of zoonotic CL, with R. opimus the main reservoir host, and P. papatasi the main vector.
