Download Full Technical Data Sheet Important for you. Important for us. Technical Data Stored in the Vehicle. Electronic vehicle components (e.g. Airbag Control Unit, Engine Control Unit) contain data storage for vehicle Technical Data, including but not limited to Diagnostic Trouble Codes in the event of a malfunction, vehicle speed, braking force, or operating conditions of the Restraint System and Driver Assistance Systems in case of an accident (no audio and no video data recording). This data is either stored volatile, punctual as snapshot e.g. Diagnostic Trouble Codes, over a short period of time (a few seconds only) e.g. in case of an accident or in aggregated form e.g. for component load evaluation. The data can be read using interfaces connected to the vehicle. Trained technicians can process and utilize the data to diagnose and repair possible malfunctions. The manufacturer can use the data to analyze and improve vehicle functions. When requested by the customer, Technical Data can form the basis of additional optional services. In general, data from the vehicle is transferred to the manufacturer or a third party only according to legal allowance, or based on a contractual customer consent in accordance with data protection laws. Further information regarding storage of vehicle Technical Data is provided in the vehicle Owner’s Manual. Setra Buses and Coaches naturally handles customer data confidentially. • Press Release November 3, 2017
Press Release November 3, 2017 Joint Venture of automotive manufacturers enables electric mobility on long-distance journeys Launch of Pan-European High-Power Charging Network IONITY Stuttgart/Munich. BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and the Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche today announced joint venture IONITY that will develop and implement a High-Power Charging (HPC) network for electric vehicles across Europe. Launching approximately 400 HPC stations by 2020, IONITY will make long-distance journeys easier and marks an important step for electric vehicles. Based in Munich, Germany, the joint venture is led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Hajesch and Chief Operating Officer Marcus Groll, with a growing team, set to number 50 by the start of 2018. “The first pan-European HPC network plays an essential role in establishing a market for electric vehicles. IONITY will deliver our common goal of providing customers with fast charging and digital payment capability, to facilitate long-distance travel,” said Hajesch. A total of 20 stations will be opened to the public this year, located on major roads in Germany, Norway and Austria, at intervals of 120 km, through partnerships with “Tank & Rast”, “Circle K” and “OMV”. Through 2018, the network will expand to more than 100 stations, each one enabling multiple customers, driving different manufacturer cars, to charge their vehicles simultaneously. With a capacity of up to 350 kW per charging point, the network will use the European charging standard Combined Charging System to significantly reduce charging times compared to existing systems. • Mercedes Benz ± C Class
customer Acquisition and Retention NMIMS, Mumbai Mercedes Benz ± C Class Company Background Mercedes Benz comes from the house of Daimler AG, a German manufacturer of automobiles, motor vehicles, and engines. Mercedes Benz cars are an important part of the history of the car with many "firsts." They were the first to build a diesel-powered car in the 1930s, the first to build a car with fuel injection in the 1950s and the first to offer antilock brakes in the 1970s. The parent company was born when an agreement of Mutual Interest was signed on May 1, 1924 between Karl Benz of Benz & cie (founded 1883) and Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach of Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (founded 1890). Both companies continued to manufacture their separate automobile and internal combustion engine brands until, on June 28, 1926, when Benz & cie and Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft AG formally merged becoming Daimler-Benz AG and agreed that thereafter, all of the factories would use the brand name of Mercedes-Benz on their automobiles. In 1998 Daimler-Benz AG "merged" with the American automobile manufacturer chrysler corporation, and formed Daimler chrysler AG. In 2007, when the chrysler group was sold off to cerberus capital Management, the name of the parent company was changed to Daimler AG. Daimler produces cars and trucks under the brands of Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Smart, Freightliner and many others.
