The Project is necessary to supply southwest Alberta and connected downstream North American markets with natural gas produced in Western Canada. HIGH RIVER NANTON Route Compressor station expansions NGTL's existing pipelines Receipt meter station Sales meter station M.D. of Ranchland Burton Creek CLARESHOLM No. 66 Compressor Station Unit Addition Grand Valley Creek Pipe expansion Cochrane Lake N 40 When originally announced in Spring 2017, the Western Alberta Spencer Creek System Mainline Loop (Rocky View Section) included two Beaupre Creek potential route options for the 42-inch diameter pipeline 1A Bighill Creek Horse Creek project. Following technical studies and engagement 766 activities, NGTL has determined that Preliminary Route A is the Bow River preferred option. Stoney 142, 1A The Project begins at an existing NGTL facility site within NE Potts Lake 143, 144 1A 16-26-04-W5M, approximately 0.8 kilometres (km) north of the town of Cochrane and ends at an existing NGTL facility site Jumpingpound Creek Bow River within NE 10-24-04-W5M, approximately 16.6 km west of the COCHRANE city of Calgary, within Rocky View County. To minimize impacts on the land and environment, the Project parallels existing buried pipelines for the majority of its length. The route runs trough the town of Cochrane for approximately 6km within the utility corridor on the west side of Highway 22. A second unit addition will be at the existing Burton Creek NAPTHA Compressor Station, located within SW 07-12-01 W5M, NGTL's existingSheep River pipelines approximately 39 km west of the town of Claresholm in the M.D. Compressor stations of Ranchland No. 66. He started drilling the Southern Alberta No. 1 well at the same time that Calgary Petroleum Products No. 1 was drilling. He was not accustomed to the cold winter and "nearly froze to death." Once they hit naphtha, they refined it in a crude separator and sent it into Okotoks by barrel.

    Tri Community Watershed Initiative: Towns of Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Okotoks, Alberta, Canada Promoting Sustainable Behaviour in Watersheds and Communities Maureen Lynch is the Coordinator of the Tri Community Watershed Initiative, Black Diamond, AB, T0L 0H0 Abstract—For the past two years, three rural municipalities in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies have been working together to promote sustainability in their communities. The towns share the belief that water is an integral part of the community; they have formed a Tri Community Watershed Initiative to help manage their shared resource. Activities of the Initiative include changing municipal policies, writing municipal water, and river valley management plans, working with partners, hosting community events and engaging local media in community success stories. The towns are also assisting residents in outdoor water conservation efforts. To date, 100 percent of the households – more than 15,000 residents in approximately 6,000 households – have participated in community-wide water conservation campaigns that protect the local watershed. The Initiative has improved local policy and decision-making through a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach that delivers ecological monitoring science in a manner that improves knowledge in the decision-making process. Involvement of town councilors in this ecological monitoring initiative has allowed local decision makers to gain awareness and knowledge that has led to action on community environmental watershed issues and increased community capacity. Decisions made at local and landscape scales have a direct impact on sustainability. This Initiative has succeeded in ensuring that choices are informed and reflect the col- lective values of the community. By identifying values and defining sustainability, the communities have been empowered to monitor progress and feed into adaptive deci- sion-making processes.

    BYLAW C-8145-2021 OFFICE CONSOLIDATION A bylaw of Rocky View County, in the Province of Alberta, to establish the rates and fees charged for providing various municipal goods and services. The Council of Rocky View County enacts as follows: Title 1 This Bylaw may be cited as the Master Rates Bylaw. Definitions 2 Words in this Bylaw have the same meaning as those set out in the Municipal Government Act except for the following: (1) “Chief Administrative Officer” means the Chief Administrative Officer of Rocky View County pursuant to the Municipal Government Act or their authorized delegate; and (2) “Municipal Government Act” means the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c M-26, as amended or replaced from time to time. Effect 3 Rocky View County establishes the rates and fees set out in Schedule ‘A’ attached to and forming part of this bylaw. 4 The Chief Administrative Officer may waive or excuse an individual from paying all or part of a rate or fee set out in Schedule ‘A’ of this bylaw if, in the opinion of the Chief Administrative Officer: (1) Facts were not disclosed which should have been disclosed at the time the fee was considered; or (2) Extenuating circumstances warrant a waiver or excusal. 5 If any provision of this bylaw is declared invalid for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, all other provisions of this bylaw will remain valid and enforceable. Effective Date 6 Bylaw C-7992-2020, being the Master Rates Bylaw, is repealed upon this bylaw passing and coming into full force and effect.
