Participated in the 18th Asian Junior (U-19) Women’s Volleyball Championship held at Thailand from 23-31 July 2016 and secured 8th Position among 15 Asian countries. BRICS GAMES U-20 Women Team participated in the BRICS Games held at Gaungzhou city, China fro 17-21 June 2017. Russia, China, Brazil and South Africa are the other participants. Indian U-20 Women’s Team secured 4th Position.

The Selection Committee comprises of Secretary General, VFI, National Coach for Volleyball, Chief Coach of the Team, an Arjuna Awardee who is also a Members of Selection Committee and Assistant Coach of the Team.

Volleyball Federation of India is strictly adhering to the Government norms on age group Championship and issue following guidelines in rules and regulations of Age group Championships.

Age Proof: Players must bring the original Date of Birth Certificate for Age Screening. After the verification, the original will be returned to the team The Medical Certificate issued by the Hospital approved by Government of India as per recent Government circular. Birth Certificate issued by a) Municipality, b) Corporation, c) Educational Institution (Certificate issued should be at least 2 years before) If the Certificate is written in any other language, an English version of the said certificate duly signed and sealed by the State Secretary should be attached with the original certificate. Valid Passport copy. Affidavit and other documents cannot be accepted by the Age Screening Committee as Age proof documents.

Age Screening: All the Players should produce their respective Date of Birth Certificate in original and based on the same as above ID Cards will be issued at the venue. No Player will be allowed to take part in the Nationals without Age Screening. ID Cards of rejected Players will be withheld by the committee and they will neither be permitted to play nor shall be issued medal(s) / Diploma / Souvenir(s) Certificates. Age Screening Committee’s decision is final and binding on all the States No protest will be entertained.
