Debemos resaltar la buena voluntad de la mayoría de los participantes para sacar adelante el torneo y resolver algunos inconvenientes imprevistos y falencias de organización que ocurrieron durante el dia sábado, de alguna manera me siento responsable porque al haber concurrido previamente para verificar las condiciones y colaborar en la organización no pude prever y solucionar a tiempo estos temas. Se porque lo viví personalmente, que el profesor Jorge Centurión, su familia, el sr Ruben y algunos alumnos trabajaron mucho para sacar adelante el torneo, los medios de comunicación locales dieron su espacio para darle publicidad al torneo, la gente del municipio, el director del Deportes, profesor Alejandro Torres y el director de cultural, sr. Enrique Sánchez, así como los que colaboraron en varias actividades, trabajaron para que todo salga lo mejor posible.

Juli 2008/dj Olympische Spiele: 16 Ringerinnen schafften die Qualifikation für Peking Neben Anita Schätzle von der WKG Metternich/Rübenach schafften 15 weitere Ringerinnen in der Gewichtsklasse bis 72 Kilogramm über die Weltmeisterschaft 2007 in Baku, die konti- nentalen Meisterschaften oder über zwei Turniere in Kanada und Schweden die Qualifikati- on für ihr Land zu den Olympischen Spielen 2008 in Peking. Die meisten Sportlerinnen, ins- gesamt neun, kommen aus Europa, jeweils zwei Ringerinnen kommen aus Nordamerika, Afrika und Asien. Eine Sportlerin ist aus Südamerika. Wer in Peking in der Sporthalle der Chinesischen Landwirtschafts-Universität am 17. August in der Gewichtsklasse bis 72 Kilogramm auf die Matten gehen wird, entscheiden die jeweili- gen nationalen Fachverbände und die Nationalen Olympischen Komitees. Anita Schätzle wurde vom DOSB auf Vorschlag des Deutschen Ringer-Bundes bereits nominiert und wird als einzige Deutsche am olympischen Ringerturnier der Frauen teilnehmen. Die Qualifikationen für die Gewichtsklasse bis 72 Kilogramm haben die folgenden Sportle- rinnen geholt, von denen die meisten sicher auch in Peking dabei sein werden: Rosangela Conceicao (Brasilien), Stanka Zlateva (Bulgarien), Ohenewa Akuffo (Kanada), Xu Wang (China), Laure Ali Annabel (Kamerun), Maider Unda (Spanien), Prieto Bokhasvili (Frankreich), Anita Schätzle (Deutschland), Kyoko Hamaguchi (Japan), Olga Zhanibekova (Kasachstan), Amarachi Obiajunwa (Nigeria), Agnieszka Wieszczek (Polen), Guzel Manuro- va (Russland), Jenny Fransson (Schweden), Svitlana Sayenko (Ukraine) und Kristie Marano (USA).
