Team Toyo’s Brandon Sweeps the Season Opener Of the 2016 Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series

CHANDLER, AZ – Team Toyo® Off-Road driver Brandon Arthur, swept the Pro Lite class in Rounds 1 & 2 during the Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series this past weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ. His #6 Competitive Metals / Pro Traffic Services / Toyo Tires® Ford truck dominated the weekend while running off-the-shelf Toyo® Open Country® A/T II tires.

Arthur begins the 2016 season determined to win the overall championship in the Pro Lite class. He was the fastest in qualifications for both race days, and earned the Fast Lap Award during Round 1. In 2015, he finished third overall in championship points and won the biggest race of the season, the prestigious Pro Lite Challenge Cup. His sweep this past weekend puts him in the lead of the 2016 Pro Lite class championship.

“What a great weekend for our team,” said Brandon Arthur. “Our Toyo tires were hooked up this weekend, leading us to the first sweep of the season.”

“We congratulate Brandon Arthur for scoring a sweep the first weekend of the 2016 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “We anticipate another great year of short course racing for Team Toyo and Brandon certainly kicked it off right with back-to-back wins in the Pro Lite class.”

The next races will take place April 23 – 24 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, CA.
