Build Your Own Success Story! FOREST OF MADHYA PRADESH As per the report (ISFR) MP has the largest forest cover in the country followed by Arunachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Forest Cover (Area-wise): Madhya Pradesh> Arunachal Pradesh> Chhattisgarh> Odisha> Maharashtra. Forest Cover (Percentage): Mizoram (85.4%)> Arunachal Pradesh (79.63%)> Meghalaya (76.33%) According to India State of Forest Report the recorded forest area of the state is 94,689 sq. km which is 30.72% of its geographical area. According to Indian state of forest Report (ISFR – 2019) the total forest cover in M.P. increased to 77,482.49 sq km which is 25.14% of the states geographical area. The forest area in MP is increased by 68.49 sq km. The first forest policy of Madhya Pradesh was made in 1952 and the second forest policy was made in 2005. Madhya Pradesh has a total of 925 forest villages of which 98 forest villages are deserted or located in national part and sanctuaries. MP is the first state to nationalise 100% of the forests. Among the districts, Balaghat has the densest forest cover, with 53.44 per cent of its area covered by forests. Ujjain (0.59 per cent) has the least forest cover among the districts In terms of forest canopy density classes: Very dense forest covers an area of 6676 sq km (2.17%) of the geograhical area. Moderately dense forest covers an area of 34, 341 sqkm (11.14% of geograhical area). Open forest covers an area of 36, 465 sq km (11.83% of geographical area) Madhya Pradesh has 0.06 sq km. -

College, Khandwa Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel College, Mandleshwar DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.573531 ABSTRACT It is generally assumed that ground water is safe (free from pathogens) and does not contain harmful constituents. But this belief is not true under all circumstances. The unscientific disposal of human and animal wastes is found to be the main anthropogenic activity that has lead to the contamination of ground water with micro-organisms, nitrates, etc. To check the level of contamination in Indore city by the seepage of the existing nallahs, a monitoring of ground water quality was carried out for one month January 2017 to February 2017 from eighteen groundwater sources in Indore city. Analysis was carried out for assessment of 21 parameters including mineral, demand, nutrient, bacteriological and metal analysis. The analysis data reveals that the quality of groundwater in Indore city has deteriorated to a large extent making it unfit for drinking and irrigation purpose. The chemical composition of groundwater from basaltic aquifer has severely altered due to the percolation of industrial effluents in the past decades and sewage from existing nallahs into the groundwater. Chitrakoot, Satna (Madhya Pradesh) 485780 [email protected] Abstract: The central India plateau is environmentally very important to understand the rich Indian biodiversity and diffuse chemical pollution. Madhya Pradesh literally means’ central province’ and is located in the geographic heart of India, between latitude 21.20N-26.870N and longitude 74002’-82049’E. Madhya Pradesh is the second largest state in the country by area. Air sampling is done as per the CPCB guideline for manual sampling and analysis. Eighty air samples were collected for seasonally i.e. (winter, summer and Monsoon). Sampling sites were selected to represent industrial area and residential area as per NAAQS- 3 1994. All the air samples of NOx were detected below the standard limit (80µg/m ). SPM, NOx and SO2 did not exceed the standard limit in almost all the sampling stations of central India. Based on the result it may be concluded that the air quality had not been affected due to study area as of Now. Raja Ali Khan (1576‐1596 A.D.), also known as Adil Shah, was asked to submit to Akbar, when the latter had sent an expedition to Khandesh, in the summer of 1577 A.D. The former, to avoid the unequal contest with the mighty Akbar, dropped his royal title of Shah and accepted the Suzerainty of Akbar.This marked an epoch in the Deccan policy of the Mughals, for Khandesh was used as a base for the future Conquest of Deccan. Raja Ali Khan constructed many buildings like Jama Masjid in the upper portion of the fort of Asir in 1588 A.D., Jama Masjid at Burhanpur in 1590 A.D., Idgah at Asir, mausoleums & Serai at Burhanpur and Serai & Mosque at Zainabad. -

PLP 2016-17 Indore Executive Summary I. General a) Indore district is situated in the Malwa Plateau Regional climatic zone 9 western part of Madhya Pradesh. It has 4 blocks with a total geographical area 3898 sq. km. constituting 1.26% of the total area of the State. The average rainfall of the district is 952 mm per annum which precipitates in about 90 days. The district population (2011 Census) is 32.77 lakhs with 8.49 lakhs in rural areas. The population below poverty line is 5.72%. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the district during 2012-13 was 10.09% of the state GDP. The total irrigated area as a percentage to net sown area is 74.11%. b) Ground Level Credit Flow (GLC): Total GLC of the district under priority sector which was `3263.74 crore during 2012-13, increased to `4106.65 crore during 2013-14 and further to `7343.16 crore during 2014-15. The agricultural loans issued during the last three years were `1677.64 crore, `2068.00 crore and `2789.32 crore respectively. The disbursements under NFS during the above period were `866.11crore, `1262.90 crore and `3038.54 crore respectively. The share of agriculture in GLC which stood at 50.30% during 2013-14 has decreased to 37.98% during 2014-15. c) Highlights of banking benchmarks: The district has 595 bank branches with 407 branches of Commercial Banks, 25 branches of Narmada Jhabua Gramin Bank, 28 branches of DCCB, 120 PACS and 15 branches of Land Development Bank. The performance of banks in achieving the parameters stipulated by RBI was satisfactory under Priority Sector Advances such as CD ratio of 105%, PSA advances of 44%, and unsatisfactory in Agricultural Advances of 10%, as against the stipulation of 60%, 40% and 18% respectively. -

JASC: JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND COMPUTATIONS ISSN NO: 0076-5131 Petrography of Asirgarh Volcanic, Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh Khadri, S.F.R and Mayura M.Deshmukh Dept. of Geology, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati-444602 (MS) Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT: The detailed petrographic and mineralogical aspects of the various lava flows exposed in the Asirgarh area has been carried out to understand the genetic aspects of the lava pile. This study based on megascopic and microscopic characteristics has provided valuable information on mineral phases and their genetic relationship. The detailed petrographic and mineralogical investigations were carried out in 465m thick lava pile exposed in the study area permit the broad division of Malwa subgroup into three formations namely Dahinala, Asirgarh and Amba. The petrographic characters of Asirgarh lava flows in the study area can be distinguished with one another due to their stratigraphic position, textural parameter like aphintic, porphyritic, glomeroporphyritic, sub-ophitic. ophtic. Phenocryst assemblages such as plagioclase, clinopyroxene and olivine were found to be mostly altered to iddegsite, opaque minerals and primary glass. The formation boundaries are inferred by characters such as field signatures, phenocrystic assemblages and appearance of giant phenocrystic basalt horizon (GPB). KRISHNA PAL SINGH YADAV: Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the details of the work done under Integrated Tribal Development Project in Madhya Pradesh during the last three years; (b) amount allocated during the last three years under Integrated Tribal Development Project; (c) Whether the work done under said project has been reviewed; and (d) if so, the outcome thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR TRIBAL AFFAIRS (SMT. RENUKA SINGH SARUTA) (a) & (b): Under the schemes/programmes namely Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India and Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Scheme (SCA to TSS), funds are released to State Government to undertake various activities as per proposals submitted by the respective State Government and approval thereof by the Project Appraisal Committee (PAC) constituted in this Ministry for the purpose. Funds under these schemes are not released directly to any ITDP/ITDA. However, funds are released to State for implementation of approved projects either through Integrated Tribal Development Projects (ITDPs)/Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) or through appropriate agency. The details of work/projects approved during the last three years under these schemes to the Government of Madhya Pradesh are given at Annexure-I & II. (c) & (d):The following steps are taken to review/ monitor the performance of the schemes / programmes administered by the Ministry: (i) During Project Appraisal Committee (PAC) meetings the information on the completion of projects etc.
