BACKGROUND Masingita Group Of Companies is a 100% black-owned company, founded by Mike Nkuna in 1983. The company has been involved in property development, construction and property management since its inception. Masingita Group Of Companies has developed several shopping malls, primarily targeting rural and township areas of with the main goal of fulfilling the socio-economic development requirements of these areas.

We pride ourselves with reversing the demeaning trend of substandard rural and township development and actively contribute to the end goal of restoring the dignity of previously marginalised communities through the development of such modern shopping malls that were previously historically exclusive to urban areas.

To this end, Masingita Property Investment Holdings (MPIH) was formed in which Masingita Group Of Companies holds 65% and Nedbank holds 35% shares. Through MPIH, the following shopping malls were developed:

Illungile Consulting Services is responsible for professional services including project management, quantity surveying, letting services and tenant coordination of all development projects for Masingita Group Of Companies and other clients.

VLAMING CONSTRUCTION A highly respected and leading construction company in the built environment with long established construction expertise and special skills. The subsidiary, Vlaming Construction, is expertly positioned to undertake large building projects, which contributes meaningfully to the Expanded Public Works Programme of Government. The philosophy of the subsidiary is to create employment opportunities by increasing the labour intensity required for infrastructure projects that it undertakes, while simultaneously ensuring that workers gain skills through on-the-job training.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT POLICY

Masingita Group of Companies has an effective training and upliftment policy with a sp cial focus on histo ically disadvantaged individuals, in particular, women and youth.
