Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} A Night in Paradise by Stephanie Rose Bachelor In Paradise Episode 4 recap: Jordan has a meltdown. Angela and Eric are quickly becoming one of the most solid couples in Paradise, and they’re on the same page about “everything,” according to Angela. Annaliese. Annaliese may have finally found the guy who will propose to her by the end of the show. She finally moved on from her awkward Jordan breakup by forming a connection with Kenny, the single dad, who became one of the most popular men in Paradise during episode 4. Jacqueline swooped in to take Kenny on a date, but Annaliese was ready to pounce when Kenny returned. She quickly stole him away for a private conversation, presented him with a dessert, and told Kenny that she’s realized he has amazing qualities. Did Annaleise open a bunch of Gogurts and squeeze them into a cup and spoon feed Kenney? And it worked?? He took of his shirt. Respect #bachelorinparadise — Ugh (@dinoface1) August 21, 2018. Kenny and Annaliese capped the night with a kiss – but Annaliese was still in danger of potentially going home. Kenny kissed three women on the night of the Rose Ceremony, but eventually decided to send Bibiana and Jacqueline home in favor of Annaliese. Astrid. Astrid and Kevin are so drama free that they can barely get themselves on television. It’s been 34 minutes and I haven’t seen myself on TV #BachelorinParadise — Astrid Loch (@astrid_loch) August 21, 2018. Bibiana (eliminated) Bibiana realized in episode 4 that she needed to make a move to try and extend her stay in Paradise, but her last-minute connection with Kenny wasn’t enough to save her. Kenny gave Bibiana her first kiss on the show, but later gave Annaliese the final rose of the evening. Bibiana’s legacy may live on through Colton and Tia’s relationship. She played a crucial role in their latest reunion, encouraging Colton to embrace their love story and give a relationship a shot. “I definitely feel like you’re connected to her…. and that’s enough, Colton.” Now taking new name recommendations: I've heard Paradise Counselor, Fairy Love Mother… #BachelorInParadise — Bibiana Julian (@bibi_julz) August 21, 2018. Caroline (eliminated) Caroline knew she was fighting over John with Jubilee, but she didn’t attempt to connect with anyone else as a backup plan, and instead went all in on John. She spied on John and Jubilee having a romantic nighttime conversation, and grabbed John for a walk on the beach as soon as it was over. “I was thinking about you today and I just thought you should know that.” She made one last attempt to win John’s rose at the cocktail party, but he ultimately favored his stronger connection with Jubilee. Chelsea. Chelsea has received less screen time than anyone else in Paradise, but she did make an excellent observation about Jordan’s cocktail party attire: “What’s that monkey from Aladdin? he was just missing that little hat.” Chris. The Chris and Tia experiment ended in a gloriously awkward blaze less than 24 hours after Chris assured Tia that he was committed to her and told her to trust him. Later that night (in episode 3), Chris was approached by Krystal, and the two shared a kiss. Tia confronted Chris to start the episode, and he informed her that his connection with Krystal changed nothing about their relationship. When Tia told Chris that she was removing herself from the triangle with Krystal, Chris countered by telling Tia he already had before the conversation began . That night, Chris shared an intimate moment with Krystal on a day bed. They truly deserve each other. I’ve never hated something as much as I hate the sun bandana #BachelorInParadise — Carly Waddell (@carlywaddell) August 21, 2018. Colton. Colton was approached by newcomer Jacqueline, who had been encouraged by a few other women to pursue the ex-NFL player. When Jacqueline asked him on a date, Colton politely declined, saying that he wasn’t sure if he can put the effort in given his ongoing drama with Tia and Becca. Colton had an open conversation with Tia after the Jacqueline encounter, and revealed to her that he was considering leaving the show. Colton wasn’t sure if he was ready to move into a relationship with Tia and was afraid of hurting her. Bibiana to Colton: Nobody else has the type of love story that you and Tia have Colton Thinking: We went on 2 dates#BachelorInParadise pic.twitter.com/LCqWw2sPV2 — Champagne Blvd (@ChampagneBlvd20) August 21, 2018. Bibiana saved the day by having a heart-to-heart with Colton, which led him to embrace the possibility of making it work with Tia. Colton later told Tia that they “owe each other an opportunity” to give their relationship “an honest go,” causing Tia to scream in delight and alarm everyone else in Paradise. David. David, who likely has a notebook filled with things he wishes he said to Jordan in the heat of an argument, met with Jenna prior to the Rose Ceremony and presented her with a gigantic stuffed dog as a birthday present. If you remember, David’s already given Jenna a “birthday cake,” so he’s really doing too much for someone he hasn’t established any real connection with. It’s obvious he’s only working to sabotage Jordan’s budding relationship, especially given David’s apparent connection with Chelsea. Jenna: What is it you like about me? David: Jordan is interested in you. Jenna: …And? David: That's all#BachelorinParadise — Simone (@HeySim1) August 21, 2018. Jordan silently crashed David’s awkward meeting with Jenna, dragged the stuffed dog across the beach, and deposited it in the ocean. Eric encouraged Jordan to apologize to Chelsea and Jubilee following his outbreak, and then chastised him in front of the entire group at the Rose Ceremony. Jacqueline (eliminated) Jacqueline set her sights on Colton – on a recommendation from Jenna – upon arriving in Paradise, only to feel like she “stepped in poo” after he shot down her date invitation. Jacqueline pivoted to Kenny, and wondered aloud if her life was over at the ripe old age of 27. Omfg. Jacqueline saying she’s past her prime at 27 and asking if she’s too old to date makes me want to drop dead #BachelorInParadise — Kelly Keegs (@kellykeegs) August 21, 2018. Jacqueline told Kenny that he’s very good looking and that she had a better time than expected, and they shared a kiss under some well-timed fireworks. Unfortunately for Jacqueline, she arrived very late in the process and pursued two men who already had strong connections with other women. The clip of her blowing out a birthday candle on the ride home is sure to be a classic GIF for years to come, at least. Jenna. Jenna and Jordan had an adorable private moment in which Jenna asked Jordan to model for her – but David may have succeeded in ruining their relationship. After dog-gate, Jenna confessed hat she’s waiting for the next thing Jordan blows up over, and remarked that the “good feelings don’t outweigh the fits.” You know who we haven’t seen in almost an hour and should have been on TV the entire time? #BachelorInParadise pic.twitter.com/Yfsgzpe0P8 — John Fountas (@IKFountas9) August 21, 2018. Joe vs. Leo is going to be fascinating . John had to choose between Caroline and Jubilee at the Rose Ceremony, and he opened up on his decision on Twitter Monday night. Here’s a different perspective: it sucks to be the one to send home any wonderful, caring, and beautiful souls that take risks to find love on BIP. They’re the real heroes. #BachelorInParadise — John Graham (@johngraham262) August 21, 2018. John opted to keep Jubilee around, which seems like the right choice. While Caroline seems lovely, John’s conversations with Jubilee have been a bit more lively and natural. Jordan. A oversized stuffed animal led Jordan to erupt in episode 4, and it remains to be seen if he can recover from the fallout. After David gifted Jenna a huge dog, Jordan crashed their meeting, grabbed the dog without a word, and hurled it into the water. A visibly Jordan snapped at Jubilee and Chelsea later in the episode, and explained in his apology just before the Rose Ceremony that many of the singles in Paradise aren’t aware of his history with David. Jordan was obviously out of line and said some regrettable things, but it’s hard to not feel for the guy. He clearly has a real connection with Jenna and is head over heels in love, yet his archnemesis – who essentially eliminated himself from by focusing on Jordan instead of Becca – is intent on undermining his relationship. Here are Jordan’s best quotes from episode 4: “Hey dad, I’m going to take my training wheels off the bicycle. ahhhh! [crash noises]. That’s what I think is going to happen.” – Jordan on Colton and Tia “I enjoy your affection… you are the most stacked girl in Paradise.” – Jordan to Jenna “It’s big dog and I just drug it’s big [expletive] across the beach.” – Jordan to David “You’re a set of brand new tires, and i’m a [expletive] Ferrari.” – Jordan on David “First off, Chelsea, you stink.” “Chelsea you don’t want it. Jubilee you don’t want it. Stop chirping.” “Everyone knows I’ve been a good guy. Don’t talk to me. I’ll burn this [expletive] down.” “Even the nice neighborhoods have speed bumps.” “I’m changing lives out here.” – Jordan on introducing the other guys to soft spray. Jubilee. Jubilee gave John a massage prior to the Rose Ceremony, which did the trick. With Caroline out of the way, Jubilee’s now free to pursue John without any competition – but the new arrivals could potentially throw a wrench into the best relationship in Paradise. Kendall. Kendall appears to be all in on Grocery Store Joe, but the episode 5 preview revealed that Leo’s arrival will force her to choose between Leo and Joe. Kenny. Chris bragged in Episode 3 that he wanted to set a Bachelor In Paradise record by kissing four separate women in one night – and Kenny nearly made it happen prior to the Rose Ceremony. Bibiana approached Kenny to express interest in him, and Kenny reciprocated her feelings with a passionate kiss. He then talked to Jacqueline and capped their conversation with a kiss, all before he gave Annaliese a wrestling lesson. Ok, I may have gotten a liiiittle carried away tonight. #BachelorInParadise — (@KennyKingPb2) August 21, 2018. Kevin. Kevin has the best take on the worst relationship in Paradise: “Krystal and Chris, they’re like the two crazies who deserve each other.” Krystal. Krystal knowingly walked into a “love square” between Colton, Chris and Tia early in the episode, and even though Tia and Chris broke off their relationship in front of her, Krystal had a bizarrely delayed reaction to the drama. When Chris excused himself to get a drink just after the conversation with Tia, Krystal got emotional and cried to both Jordan and Bibiana. Chris eventually made his feelings for her clear, and Krystal “feels so hopeful” for their connection. Good luck with that. In a massive upset, Krystal – not Jordan – delivered the most memorable quote of the evening: “I like designer things. I like cooking and investing in like… IRA Roth.” Nysha (eliminated) So long, Nysha. We’ll miss your commentary. “She’s putting in 16-hour shifts.” – on Annaliese chasing Kenny’s rose. After the Chris debacle, Tia began to “remember all the things I like about” Colton, and realized that she “kinda [wants] to date him.” Just as Tia approached Colton to talk about their relationship, Jacqueline arrived to steal Colton away and ask him on a date. The sequence of events caused Tia to have a bit of an emotional breakdown. “I wish I could grab his face and be like “choose me, please choose me!” “If she takes Colton on a date I’m throwing myself into a boulder.” Colton turned down Jacqueline, but his relationship with Tia was still up in the air following their conversation. Tia asked Bibiana to approach Colton and talk to him, explaining that an “outsider has to tell him” how Tia feels. Bibiana delivered, and Tia and Colton are now moving forward with what seems to be an exclusive relationship in Paradise. Couple rankings: 1. John and Jubilee. I feel like they should have their own daytime television show. 2. Kevin and Astrid. I feel like Kevin and Astrid have already tied the knot in a secret Paradise ceremony that the cameras missed due to Jordan or Tia-related drama. 3. Kenny and Annaliese. Annaliese has seemed desperate during her stay in Paradise, but her relationship with Kenny might just work out. They both seem to have similar values and expectations for the show. 4. Tia and Colton. I never gave up hope. 5. Jordan and Jenna. Jordan’s freak out was a red flag, but I’m giving him a pass purely because David is the worst. I hope Jordan and Jenna can recover, because they’re perfect for each other. 6. Angela and Eric. This couple needs more screen time. 7. Chris and Krystal. If Chris and Krystal get married, do you think Chris would wear the sun bandana during the ceremony? I bet he would. ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 2 Stars Reunite For Another Night in Paradise And Help Raise Over $20K. Travis Barker Shares a Steamy Photo of Kourtney Kardashian in Bed. After wrapping up their time in Mexico, a couple of Bachelor in Paradise stars reunited over the weekend at Velocity 5 in Centreville, VA and Lost Society in Washington, DC to host “One Night in Paradise.” Organized by and other stars including newly engaged Jade Roper , Carly Waddell , Jared Haibon , JJ Lane , Joe Bailey , Juelia Kinney , Joshua Albers and Lauren Iaconetti , the cast spent two nights mingling with hundreds of fans to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s National Capital Area Chapter and INOVA Fairfax Hospital Child Life Services. “We raised over $20,000,” Ashley I. tells Life & Style . “It was a lot of work and a lot of mingling, but it was so worth it and all the fans are awesome!” Apart from spending the majority of the time snapping pictures and chatting with fans, the cast created their own version of Jenny McCarthy’s Singled Out show and chose lucky girls from the raffle to go on one-on-one dates with Jared and JJ. “Basically we pulled some names out of a bin and four girls got to come up to the front. I had formed some questions based on my knowledge of [JJ and Jared] and asked them questions that would help the guys pick a girl for a mini 20 minute date in the VIP room,” Ashley tells us. “That was the most fun for me.” Despite getting to date on The Bachelorette and Tenley Molzahn on Bachelor in Paradise , who JJ claims to just be “one of [his] closest friends,” the former villain says “dating’s still a challenge.” “It’s tougher because you have a lot more potential girls to date, but you never know who’s genuine and who’s in it for the right reasons,” JJ tells Life & Style . “It definitely opens the door to meeting a lot more girls, so I’m not complaining at all. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity.” The guys at the benefit event were still accepting roses, which were donated by Urban Stems and Palace Florists. Joshua, who welded a rose for Kaitlyn, welded two similar roses that were auctioned off and sold for $350 and $450—the biggest sellers of both nights! Even though the rest of the cast wasn’t able to make it— Tanner FaceTimed in to say hi to the crowd—Ashley says, “It was really great to have everyone together for an extended period of time and for them to be at my house, it was like my house became Mansion for two days and that was awesome!” A Stunning Mountain Backdrop Elevates The Luxe Factor Of This Mediterranean-Style Arizona Villa. Photography: Erik Peterson, Jeannine Engh and Davina Griffis, PHX Architecture. Stephanie Wohlner, Stephanie Wohlner Design. Anthony Salcito Jr., Salcito Custom Homes, Ltd. Jeff Berghoff, Berghoff Design Group. Side AD. A fter two decades of creating dream homes for her clients, Chicago-based interior designer Stephanie Wohlner decided to finally devote some time to making her own dream home—a second house in Arizona where her husband, children and beloved new granddaughter, especially (“I can’t be away from her for more than a few weeks,” says the proud grandmother), could congregate for extended periods of time. Wohlner and her husband, Rick, set their sights on Scottsdale some years ago (Wohlner graduated from the University of Tucson and has always made frequent trips to Arizona for family visits), but it took quite a while to find just the right spot. “We looked for almost two years in Paradise Valley, but we couldn’t find anything to renovate or a lot I loved enough to do a tear-down,” she says. “We didn’t envision ourselves on a golf course, but this lot, this view, peace, quiet, beauty—it’s an escape.” Wohlner wanted “every inch of the house to be looked at” and immersed herself in thoughts of all the possibilities—but she also knew she had to edit herself. That editing began, first and foremost, with the architecture. So Wohlner turned to Yevgeniy Veller, a longtime designer friend and collaborator, to help her refine her vision. She wanted a large home with room to spread out, as well as a casita where her adult children could have their own space. In order to keep the walk between rooms from being too long, she devised a courtyard-focused house that feels intimate and “wraps its arms around you.” To realize her ideas, Wohlner gathered architect Erik Peterson, general contractor Anthony Salcito Jr. and landscape architect Jeff Berghoff. “Stephanie wanted a really classic style of architecture—a little bit Mediterranean or old-world—but cleaner, especially since her interiors were going more modern in pattern and texture,” explains Peterson, who understood Wohlner’s vision and worked with project architects Jeannine Engh and Davina Griffis to meet it. “Stephanie brought a whole new vision and a very different energy,” observes Peterson. “The house feels fresh and exciting—it’s a vernacular we haven’t seen,” he explains. Adds Salcito, who, like Peterson, is excited about the shift from overly embellished to more restrained desert styles, “Her taste is refined and elegant. They wanted a solid, authentic house and for it to be masonry, which makes it unique here.” Wohlner laughingly confesses that she was the toughest client she’s ever had. But she also says she loosened up once the building was done and she could turn her attention to the interiors. “Even though I wanted the architecture to be clean, I couldn’t not go crazy with fabrics and wallpapers,” she admits, pointing to the great room, where she hung wallpaper between the ceiling beams to cancel any echo while upping the cozy factor. And though she went full-bore on tile, choosing a bold pattern for the eat-in kitchen (“I ordered what I wanted on this job, and I don’t regret any of it!” she pronounces), she also kept herself in check by incorporating a soothing palette that continues from the main living spaces to the couple’s master suite (which is a resort unto itself, boasting its own petit kitchen and gym). “I didn’t want your eye to feel like it’s jumping around,” Wohlner says, “so every single room is the same neutral color to ground the space.” It was important for every area of the home to be an “interesting space,” and that includes the glazed walkways that display the couple’s art collection. “The beautiful, big hallways are like galleries,” says Peterson. “Most people wouldn’t give them that much square footage, but it creates a flow through the house.” It also creates an immediate connection with the landscape, part of what brought Wohlner and Rick here in the first place. Around the home, Berghoff subtly transitioned natural desert plantings to more formal ones near the entrance; the grassy interior courtyard features a pool and a lush variety of annuals, lavender and roses (a nod to the designer’s award-winning Chicago garden). “This home is stripped down and tailored, and the garden reflects that,” notes Berghoff, “but there’s movement and a sense of discovery.” “It was an epiphany,” Wohlner reflects, realizing her design included elements of every project she’s ever done. “All the jobs connected—historic, modern, cottage—and the pieces just worked together.” After decades of helping others find their style, she’s now done it for herself. “I’ve identified who I am,” she says contentedly. The Saga Of 'Bachelor' Nation's Chad & Daniel. As Evan astutely observed during the Season 3 premiere of Bachelor in Paradise , "Where there's a Daniel, a Chad is not far behind." However, when you consider Chad got kicked off the series by in the first episode, are Chad and Daniel still friends after Bachelor in Paradise ? Their reunion on Bachelor in Paradise was the sweetest moment of the entire premiere (in its own special, sexist way), but JoJo's two suitors from The Bachelorette didn't end the episode on great terms. So did Bachelor in Paradise mark the end of this Chaniel bromance? Say it ain't so! While Chad hit it off with — and was hit by — Lace, the first person he set eyes on was Daniel. The Canadian was Chad's sole ally in the house during JoJo's season of The Bachelorette and the workout buddies were genuinely pumped to have each other in Paradise . With their shared love of fitness and protein combined with their problematic views toward women, these guys seemed like a match made in heaven — truly a rarity for the reality TV franchise. Yet, their joy was short-lived when Chad started using offensive language toward the women on Bachelor in Paradise , specifically Lace and Sarah, and became belligerently drunk. Daniel approached him about how his behavior was scaring the people in Paradise and Chad got physically violent by pushing his number one bud from The Bachelorette . Just like on The Bachelorette , Daniel was balancing that fine line on Bachelor in Paradise of maintaining a good friendship with Chad while advising him that his actions were alienating everyone else. Of course, his advice is always utter nonsense, with perhaps a tinge of understated brilliance (never forget that Hitler-Mussolini pep talk), and this time around he told Chad that he had a better shot at making out with a turtle than kissing Lace again — or any other woman for that matter — on his first night in Paradise . This enraged Chad and that's when the pushing happened. While Daniel attempted to distance himself from Chad for the rest of the episode, I should note that when Chad started getting physical with Daniel, Daniel had a grin on his face for part of it. Daniel might have been all "unmurdery," which pissed the drunk Chad off, but it didn't appear that Daniel was too upset with his intoxicated pal. Yet, Daniel did say he'd punch his friend (he's done it before and he'll do it again, you guys) and in the preview for the next episode, Daniel was shown calling Chad an expletive. Of course, this could be some tricky editing on the part of Bachelor in Paradise and Daniel could not be talking about Chad, but it's not a good sign for their friendship regardless. As for their time off of Bachelor in Paradise , the best way to check the status of their friendship is to look at their social media pages. Chad has a huge Twitter following and I went through his tweets and his Instagram page and saw no real mentions of Daniel — except when he posted a video of the aforementioned Hitler discussion from The Bachelorette . So Chad's social media does not indicate an offscreen friendship with Daniel and frankly, neither does the Canadian's since Daniel tweeted about the first Bachelor in Paradise episode and wrote, "Holy f*ck. Funniest episode ever. The downfall of Chad!" Although Daniel's "downfall of Chad" comment was pretty accurate, that's not a very nice sentiment to have about a real friend. That makes me inclined to think that their friendship was one of convenience when they were on the Bachelor shows together. Another hint that this relationship is purely for TV? Daniel also shared the Hitler video on Instagram and his caption hints at the fact that he was aware he was creating reality TV gold with his comments. I am not saying that these guys didn't genuinely enjoy their time on TV together, but their social media accounts make it seem that there is no love lost between these bros. And though they were seated next to each other during After the Final Rose on Aug. 1, they were there to promote Bachelor in Paradise . Yet again, that doesn't mean they don't like each other, I just am not sure the friendship expands beyond the realm of Bachelor Nation. Like Carly said, Chad and Daniel were the first couple to hit it off during Bachelor in Paradise , but with Chad's eviction, their bonding time on the series is over. And that's not good news for people who fell in love with this duo during their time on The Bachelorette . So soak in the remaining screen time these two will share together when Hurricane Chad returns on Aug. 8's episode of Bachelor in Paradise , because it's most likely an end to a brotastic era. Bachelor in Paradise : Hannah G. Finally Decides Between Blake and Dylan. Monday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise picked up with Jordan Kimball ripping down the piñata that Christian Estrada got for Nicole Lopez-Alvar. The action resulted in a physical altercation between the two male models. Jordan slammed Christian on the sand and then production quickly separated the two. Christian fought back against production and cursed Jordan out as he continued to try to come for him. “Watch your back!” Christian threatened. “Cheers to you being a bitch,” Jordan responded. It took four production and crew members to hold back Christian as his rage continued. Nicole felt upset that the two men fought because of her, and the rest of the contestants wondered whether the tussle would end everyone’s time in Mexico. Chris Harrison sat down with Jordan and Christian individually to hear their sides of the story and let them know that they’d be leaving Paradise . Then he informed the rest of the castmates of the show’s “zero-tolerance policy.” “We stand behind that — period,” the host said. “That’s not what Paradise is about. This is about a second chance at love. I really do want that for each and every one of you. That’s what this is for. And so we have sent both Jordan and Christian home. We’re not laying blame at anyone’s feet here. That’s not what this is about.” Rose Ceremony No. 2. Even with two men out of the dating pool, the women still had to send home another two guys at the evening’s rose ceremony. But then, Onyeka Ehie made an announcement that would change the game again. “I came here with the highest expectations,” she told the group before the rose ceremony started. “I really wanted to meet someone here and I’ve been pretty unhappy here and it’s been for a while, and I can’t give out a rose to anyone tonight. And I’m really sorry. I’m very sure. I love you all, girls and guys. I’ve made amazing friends, so I am not leaving here with nothing.” With one less rose available, all of the men immediately tensed up, especially Cam Ayala, who thought Onyeka would give him a friend rose. The biggest toss-up, though, was to whom would give her rose. She spent the cocktail party eating gummy worms with Dylan Barbour, but also danced to a mariachi band with Blake Horstmann. Ultimately, she made the choice that her castmates wanted and picked Dylan. But while everyone then hoped that Blake would go home, his ex Kristina Schulman gave him her rose.
