The council has completed its search relating to your request about automatic traffic count data received on Thu, 04 Jun 2020.

Request Daily automatic traffic count data. I am trying to investigate changes in visitor number to the Lake District in response to the Covid-19 lockdown measures and was wondering if it would be possible to get some automatic traffic count data, to use as a proxy for this, at some sites across the county? I am not sure where all of your counters are and wouldn't need all of the data, unless it is easier to provide it all together, but would need some idea of the locations of counters, so I can decide which ones might be most useful. We are hoping to carry out a research project looking at the changes in visitors to environmental impacts on the lake environment at some lakes across the county. Ideally we therefore need data from this year and for some previous years (2016 - 2019) to provide a baseline to assess the changes against. Any help you can provide in this would be really useful for the work. I assume the data will be held by the traffic or transport teams. Thank you.
