Grading System Grades are assigned between A+ (top mark) to F (failure). The grades are distributed from A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D+ to F.

Number of ECTS The number of classes the students register for depends on the requirements of the student’s home institution. Visiting students at the University of Malta can register for a minimum of 8 ECTS per semester and a maximum of 30 ECTS per semester

Language English is the language of instruction at the University of Malta and requirements students are expected to be fluent (writing skills, conversation skills and listening skills).

Insurance It is highly recommended that students obtain Travel Insurance cover prior Requirements to arrival in Malta. The Insurance should cover personal belongings, health services {for EU Students: health services not covered by the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card)}, evacuation and repatriation.
