INTRODUCTION variation was studied in rural and urban schools separately and comparatively. A goal is roughly similar to a purpose or aim, the anticipated result which guides reaction, or an end, which is an object, either a physical object or an abstract object, that has intrinsic value (https://en.wikipedia.org). Goal Characteristics were presented by Lambert (2018). Goals can be a Life, intermediate, or short-term. The primary difference is the time required to achieve them (Jennifer and Lesley, 2008). If we had no plans, no dreams, no ambitions and never pushed ourselves in any way, what a tedious and pointless existence we would lead. We only have one chance at this life, so treating life as a journey of personal development, with plenty of challenges along the way, has to be the best way of ensuring we get the very most out of our allotted span. Once you get started with goal setting, some targets you identify will be straightforward. Some are likely to be challenging, however, and others will test you to your limits. If you’re going to achieve them, you’re going to have to push yourself long and hard (https://www.aconsciousrethink.com). Goal setting is the process of laying down certain objectives, guidelines and ways which can help the employees understand the business goals and how they have to approach the work (https://www.mbaskool.com). Sankara Pitchaiah and Nazia Sultana (2018) studied career goal of 8th students.
