PREP BASKETBALL PREP SOFTBALL Sumter’s Tiller signs Settled on the diamond with Allen BY DENNIS BRUNSON [email protected]

Not only can he shoot, but An- drew’s a great leader too.” Tiller said getting the chance to play beyond high school is a longtime goal of his. “This has been a dream since I was a kid,” said Tiller, who played guard for SHS. “It was something that I’ve worked really hard to reach.” It could be said Tiller had a little bit of inside help since Jones is the former head coach at Allen, leaving the school to come to Sumter High. Howev- er, Tiller had to prove his worth during a tryout and then with his test scores. “I went over there and worked out for them,” Tiller said. “I had a really good day. I was making all of my shots. They told me they would offer as soon as I got in some test scores.”
