Tel (86) 13057530575 Fax (86) 25 – 83659692 Research Interest Dr. Shao emphasize architecture theory and concept, historiography of architecture, urban in large scale.His research focuses on design theories of modern and contemporary landscape architecture, urban design in large scale, and how to accommodate research in the above fields by using data supporting systems, such as GIS and other information-aided design tools. His current research projects address domestic and international issues in the areas of urban underground space planning and design, tools of low carbon and green city developments, spatial analysis of urban spatial structure and urban form。His current research interests primarily focus on the study of landscape architecture and urban planning theory in the Chinese contexts, such as historiography of landscape architecture in small scale and urban underground space planning in large scale. Dr. Shao has been a Corporate Member of the Planning Institute of Australia, a Council Member of the Underground Space Sub-Society of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, and a Council Member of the Underground Space Sub-Society of Architectural Society of China. He was elected as a of the Urban Planning Society of China.
