Set Up- Make sure you have plenty of open space around you. 1

Directions:

● How many points can you score in a minute. 2 Points ● Put your sneaker on just over your toes.

● When timer starts, flick your shoe off your foot.

● 1pt- sneaker lands on side; 2 pts- sneaker lands 3 Points upright; 3 pts- sneaker lands upside down ● 0pts- sneaker hits the ceiling/fan/knocks something over. ● Write your score on Field Day Scorecard. Click Here for Video Stack the Sneakers Back Demonstration

Equipment- 10-15 pairs of sneakers of sneakers/shoes, item to create home base (plate, cone, cup)

Set Up- Make a pile of shoes/sneakers in the middle of players. Place home bases equal distance from shoe pile.

Directions: ● Object is to stack the sneakers/shoes on top of one another to create a tall stack of shoes. ● When signal begins, go to stack and take 1 shoe/sneaker and place it on your home base. ● Repeat taking 1 shoe/sneaker at a time until all sneakers/shoes are gone from the middle pile ● It is okay if your stack falls. Fix the stack before you go and get another shoe. ● When all sneakers/shoes have been stacked, count and score 1 point for each shoe on the stack. ● Record score on Field Day score card. Equipment- Towel, sneaker/shoe, open space, time/stopwatch

Set Up- Place a towel on the ground, take off 1 of your shoes. Choose to start either on your back with 1 foot up OR on your belly with 1 foot bent up. Directions: ● Object of this event is to flip the towel over without stepping off the towel. ● Record how fast you can use your hands and flip the towel over to other side without stepping off ● Both feet must remain on the towel the whole time. ● Towel must start and end completely flat out ● Write your fastest scores on the Field Day Scorecard. Set Up- Cleared tabletop or ground. For every 3 jumping jacks you complete, you earn 2 bottle flips. Set Up- place the books/magazines about 15 feet apart. Set Up- Roll up socks to make sock balls. Stand back about 10 feet away from basket.

Directions: ● Object of the game is to score as many points as you can in 1 minute. ● Toss the ball to the wall. The ball should bounce off the wall and land in the basket for 1 point. ● The ball must bounce off the wall before landing in the

basket. ● Throw/Toss 1 ball at a time. ● You have 1 minute. ● Record most number completed on the Field Day Scorecard Keep It Up Back Equipment- 1-5 balloons (or sockballs, any kind of ball you can hit with your hand)

Set Up- open space (indoor or outside)

If so, pick up and continue. ● On Go, strike balloons/item upward using your hands. Count how times many you can hit them in 1 minute. ● If using more than 1 item, you are not allowed to hit item 2 times in a row. Alternate hits. ● Record most number of hits on the Field Day Scorecard

Penguin Race Back Equipment- 1 sock ball/tennis ball/soccer ball, 2 cups or markers (plates)

Set Up- Sep up markers about 20ft. apart

Directions: ● You are a penguin and the ball is your egg Click Here for ● Object is to carry your egg back and forth between the markers as many times Video as you can without dropping your egg in 1 minute. Demonstration ● 2 ways to play- Solo or against a player ● Solo Challenge- Carry the ball by putting it between your knees and waddling back and forth for 1 minute. When you reach your marker (cup/plate), turn it over and go back. How many times did you turn them over in 1 minute? ● If you drop the egg, do 5 jumping jack and then continue. ● You should not hold the egg in place with your hands. ● Partner Challenge- Be the 1st person to turn over X number of markers (cups/plates) ● On Go, waddle to 1st marker and turn over marker (cup/plate) and waddle back as fast as you can. Keep going until the determined number of turnovers. ● Whoever completes it the fastest wins. Winner gets that many points. If you were going back and forth 6 times- Win 6 pts. ● Record highest score completed to Field Day Score Card Spoon Relay Back Equipment- 1 spoon, 1 small object to balance, items to create a start and checkpoint (cones, socks, cups), clock or stopwatch

Directions: ● The object of this activity is to try to complete as many laps as you can in 1 minute. ● Walk from the start to the checkpoint and back. This completes 1 lap. ● If your object falls off, stop walking, place it back on the spoon, and then continue. ● You score 1 point for each lap WITHOUT a drop. ● Record your score on the Field Day Scorecard. Flip Your Lid Back Equipment- Kitchen Spatula, 1 Tupperware or Lid, Clock or Stopwatch

Set Up-. Place your lid facing up on a table or floor and that’s it! Click Here for Video Directions: Demonstration ● The object of this game is to flip your tupperware lid upside down. You will have to reset the lid each time you flip. ● Place your lid facing up on the table or floor. Slide your spatula under and flip the lid in the air. It should land flat on the table or floor. ● Every time the lid flips upside down you score a point! ● You have 1 minute to see how many times you can Flip Your Lid! ● Record your score on the Field Day Score Card. Water Bottle Trap Back Equipment- 1 Water Bottle (full or empty), 1 Laundry Basket, 1 Ball (sock ball, tennis, kickball)

Set Up-. Lean the edge of the laundry basket on top of the water bottle. Create a start line about 10 feet away. Click Here for Video Demonstration Directions: ● The objective is to see how times you can trap the water bottle and ball under the laundry basket in 1 minute. ● Roll your ball at the water bottle trying to hit it. ● The ball must hit the water bottle first for the point to count. ● Scoring system : ○ 1 point = basket falls and traps ball only ○ 2 points = basket falls and traps water bottle only ○ 3 points = basket falls and traps both ball and water bottle ● Record your total number of points on the Field Day Score Card. Set Up- Start with cups stacked together.

Directions:

● Object is to stack and unstack the 3 cups as many times as you can in 1 minute. ● On Go, start off doing 3 jumping jacks then upstack the cups for 1 point. ● Do 3 more jumping jacks and down stack the cups for another 1 point. ● Continue to do jumping jacks and stacking/unstacking the cups until time is called, adding points as you go. ● How many points can you get in 1 minute ● Record score on Field Day score card. Scooter Pillow Race Back Equipment- 1 pillow, 2 items to mark a 10-15 foot space

Set Up-. Place markers/ tape about 10-15 feet away from you. Use your feet to move forward ● When time is up, tally up your total score and record it on the Field Day Score Card. Set Up- Separate the 2 rolled up pieces of paper about 10 feet apart. Put the plastic bag next to 1 of the balls of paper.

Directions: ● Object is to use the book to fan the plastic bag down to

the other paper ball. ● Each time you reach the other side, you get a point. ● How many points can you get in 1 minute? ● Watch the video to the right to see demo. Set Up- Open space to jump with 2 feet and land with 2 feet

Directions: ● The objective of this game is to Jump with 2 feet as far as you can and land with 2 feet without falling. ● If you fall backwards, where your hands land is your score. ● Once you land, your score is where your HEELS land, NOT your TOES. ● Record your highest distance on the Field Day score card. Set Up- Use tape/paper balls to mark 10 foot space for the race (indoor or outside). Stand inside pillowcase/garbage bag

Directions: ● Object is to score as many points as you can in 1

Equipment- 10 sockballs, 1 laundry basket, 1 bucket, 1 Tupperware container

Set Up- Stack the Tupperware in side the bucket. Put the Laundry Basket-1pt bucket inside the laundry basket

Bucket- 5 pts Directions: Tupperware-10 pts ● Object of the game is to kick the sock balls 1 at a time into the various Skee ball targets. ● Stand about 6 feet away from skee- ball targets ● Landing the sockball in the laundry basket- 1 point. Landing the sockball in bucket- 5 pts. Landing the sockball in the Tupperware container- 10 point. ● What is your score after kicking all 10 sockballs? ● Record your highest score on the Field Day score card.
