USC LIBRARIES RESOURCE GUIDE

VISIONS AND VOICES and the USC LIBRARIES, in collaboration with the DEPARTMENTS OF AMERICAN STUDIES AND ETHNICITY and SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE AT USC COLLEGE and EL CENTRO , hosts a three-day event entitled Flor y Canto: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, featuring writers and performance artists from the first groundbreaking festival in 1973 and representation from new generations.

To help you learn more about these and other Chicano and Latino and writers, librarians at USC LIBRARIES’ SPECIAL COLLECTIONS, IVAN E CALIMANO (cataloger) and BARBARA ROBINSON of the BOECKMANN CENTER FOR IBERIAN AND LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES, have prepared this guide to readings and resources. See also their library guide on this topic at libguides.usc.edu/florycanto.
