Producer The heart of our winery and production is in , where is set best Cru: Ausario. This Cru is located in one of the most important hills in the village of Treiso, and is cultivated with Nebbiolo for Barbaresco and Barbera d'Alba. With a south-western exposure, its soil is characterized by the high content of white and grey clay in several layers. The vineyards enjoy a particular microclimate and wind, and the grapes give wines with strong tannins which become milder with the aging. The Barbaresco produced in this sub-region is very powerful, with notes of black and red fruits (blackberry-blueberry-currant) to a more complex bouquet made up of floral and fruity notes, typical of the Ausario hill. The taste and the perfumes continue to develop in the bottle, and with ageing become more intensive and spicy. Cru Ausario produces wine with an average life in the bottle of 20 years. On the hills of the city of Alba, capital city of Langhe, in a wonderful panorama our family is dedicated to the cultivation of two important grapes: and Nebbiolo. In the district of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, the southern exposition of the vineyard and its important slope, give us small grapes with high concentration. You can find these characteristhics in our Dolcetto d'Alba and Barbaresco Teorema. The vineyards give the tastes and perfumes of a region. The lands of Agricola Molino have unique features and cover about twelve hectares in the communes of Treiso, Guarene, Alba and Costigliole d'Asti. They were purchased over several years and represent the stage for top quality performances. Innovation has always been crucial: green harvesting has been carried out since the 90s, as well as the oxygenation of the roots through the harrowing of the soil and not using mineral fertilizers in the soil. The health of the plant, its leaves and physiology have been maintained only through the use of leaf fertilizers, showing regard for the environment and the natural cycles. All these methods enable the respect of the natural growth of the plant, contributing to the development of genuine grapes. It is a simple but effective working method: respect for the vine to obtain grapes that produce wine with a low content of sulphites, a typical feature of quality wines. It is a conviction and a challenge, which will lead to the production of wines with no sulphites at all in the coming years. Their property is cultivated with Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Asti, and Moscato d'Asti. Tasting Notes Color intense Ruby Red. Nose fruity and full with persistent hints of Marasca cherry blended with delicate white flowers. Palate slightly crisp acid with soft and pleasant tannins. Winemaker Notes Barbera Selvaggia Wine is our interpretation of the Piedmont winemaking tradition with a touch of modernity and fantasy. The result is a lightly sparkling wine with soft bubbles that caress the palate reminiscenses of ripe red fruit . The elegant combination of Barbera grapes with a small percentage of Nebbiolo stimulates all of the senses. Food Pairing This wine is best served with red meat, salami, cured hams and sausages ,soft ripened cheeses and vegetarian aromatic omelettes
