Oh Canada! Shaina Pellington is starting to find her groove over the last few games. In her last five games, she averages 9 points after averaging just 4.8 in the first four games of the season. She came off the bench late at Colorado and completely changed the game. In her 11 minutes, she scored seven points and was a +12 in the final 11 minutes of the game. Prior to arriving at Arizona, she was a force to be reckoned with in her first two years of her career, as she was the 2018 Big 12 Freshman of the Year and averaged 13 points per game in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. The Pickering, Ontario native competed for the Canadian Senior National Team and helped her country qualify for the 2020 Olympics at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament early in 2020.

Aaronette Vonleh Vonleh, a West Linn, Ore. native and the sister of NBA player Noah Vonleh, is a top-100 prospect by both ESPN and ProspectsNation. The 6-3 post player averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds and over one block per game as the Lions won the 6A Three Rivers League with an overall record of 21-6 and 10-1 in league play during the 2019-20 season. She had a career game on Jan. 14 as she scored 38 points to go along with 14 rebounds in a 22-point victory and had eight 20-point games during her junior season.

The leading scorer in Arizona women’s basketball history and a WNBA Champion, Barnes came to Tucson after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Washington for five seasons.

Through her first four seasons as head coach, Barnes won 68 games, the most of any Arizona coach in program history in their first four seasons. She is also the only coach in school history to win at least 20 games two times in her first four seasons.

A three-time all-conference selection and '98 graduate of Arizona, Barnes was voted USBWA first-team All-American and Pac-10 player of the year in 1997-98. Her 2,237 career THE ADIA BARNES FILE points currently rank ninth on the Pac-12’s all-time scoring list. Hired at Arizona: Apr. 4, 2016 Hometown: San Diego, Calif. Education: Arizona ’98 Following her collegiate career, Barnes played professionally for 12 seasons in the WNBA and overseas.
