MEDIA KIT Dr Pasupathi A Malaysia – India collaboration album Reenggaram, A Composer’s Journey A Dr MOTS Production About Dr Pasupathi is a Malaysian medical practitioner who is passionate about international Indian/Tamil music. His musical ventures started off in his teens when he was involved as a DJ in various clubs in Kuala Lumpur. While excelling academically, he managed to juggle between weekly gigs and studies where he gained interest for composing. The initial compositions were of hip hop genre for an underground group named Junior Hussle. Inspired by Michael Jackson, AR Rahman, Ilayaraja and Harris Jayaraj, the diversity of Indian cinema music and the increasing fusion of Western musical elements began to fascinate Dr Pasupathi. Since then, he began to compose music with Indian influences while infusing the Western elements to come up with music that can identify himself uniquely. While pursuing his medical degree in one of Malaysia’s top universities, his passion for music did not falter. He was the keyboardist for his college band and lead the band to become the champion in one of the university’s battle of the bands. This success paved the way for the band to perform in various events and was featured in national television. However, the increasing study times as clinical students slowed down the band’s activities as all the members were medical students. Upon graduation, Dr Pasupathi underwent housemanship in one of Malaysia’s busiest general hospital and subsequently served in the government hospitals before joining a private group practice in 2008. A couple of years following that, he began to put together some of his compositions to come up with fourteen songs for which various lyricists were roped in to provide ‘soul’ for the melodies. Numerous singers, both locally and internationally, were auditioned. Good opportunity came when top South Indian singers were able to provide ‘wings’ for the songs. By the end of 2013, ten songs out of the fourteen were selected and the album Reenggaram, meaning tune that keeps repeating in ears, was born. Malaysian Vocalists & Musicians Bawani Logeswaran One of the most enchanting Carnatic singers in Malaysia. Bhavani made her Carnatic vocal debut in 1994. She is a gold medalist in the National Thirumurai competition that was held by the Malaysian Hindu Sangam. Her indulgence in fusion music is proven by her collaboration with AR Rahman's Sarangi player, the maestro Faiyaz Ahmad Khan. Bawani Logeswaran provided the pilot tracks, vocal backings and aalaps in the album Reenggaram where her Carnatic skills were much needed. Eliezer Enan Eliezer Enan (born April 28 1986) is a musician by profession who pursued his degree in ASWARA, majoring in composition and arrangement. Born 2nd out of 4 siblings , Eliezer has been involved in music since his childhood days in churches. Zach, as he is popularly among his circle of friends, has vast experience of being a sessionist, composer, arranger , and a teacher in the music field. Currently residing in Batang Kali, Selangor , Eliezer is the guitar teacher in Temple Of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur. Eliezer Enan performed the guitar and bass in the album Reenggaram K-Two K-Two is a Malaysian Artist/Singer/Rapper/Composer and the Marketing Executive for Irama Bayu Production. K-Two was featured in the song Kurumbukaraa Ponnu in the album Reenggaram Varsha With the real name Kalpana Sanyasi , this Indian lady is a Ananda Vikatan and Eluthu.com prize winning story writer and poet. Engineer by education, she choose to be a writer out of passion. Writings have been published in leading popular magazines like Ananda Vikatan, Aval Vikatan, Devi, Kalki, Kumutham, Mangayar Malar, Rani and Snekithi. BV Ramanan A renowned lecturer in University of Madras and Periyar University, India, this microbiologist has a real talent in penning lyrics. The songs Kadhal Malar, Kurumbukaraa Ponnu & Vaadum Nilavae were given ‘soul’ by BV Ramanan. Sudharsan With deep interest in writing lyrics, scripts and novels, this Indian audio engineer penned the lyrics for the song Mananaal in the album Reenggaram. He has written a Tamil novel named ‘Appatakkar’ and lyrics for various albums and movies. He was also the sound engineer & designer for various short films (Nalaya Iyakunar) and did sound designing/singing for India’s first musical novel ‘Ranamsugam’ and ‘Neon Nagaram’ Malini Gowrishankar A voice over artist based in India, her creative writing skills were put to good use when she penned the wonderful lyrics for the song Kannil Thondrum. They need no introduction… Unni Menon Saindhavi Unnikrishnan Prema (Upcoming) Suchitra Mathangi Aalap Raju Tippu Megha Reenggaram, A Composer’s Journey Reenggaram combines the vocal powers of great Indian singers such as Unni Menon, Unnikrishnan, Suchitra, Saindhavi, Tippu, Aalap Raju, Megha, Ramya NSK and more in one album filled with melodious and uniques songs. All songs were composed by Dr Pasupathi and were recorded and produced in Irama Bayu Productions, Malaysia. Recordings of the Indian vocalists were done in Ambika Digitals, Chennai, India.
